Then she would laugh at you.
Not only is Zevran manlier than Alistair, I bet Morrigan is as well.

BioWare bowed to the notion that the majority of gamers who are not gay would end up resisting the idea that a gay/bi male can't resemble somebody like Alistair. A human, athletic, masculine, white male.
As opposed to an elven, athletic, masculine, white male.
This boils down to 'all elves are girls.'

Or maybe I can hack the game so that dialog could be exchanged between me and Alistair?
The toolset is there for a reason. Go forth and mod.

Here's my take on this article. I think the writer was trying to sleep with characters as early and as frequently as he could. (That's okay, it's a valid way to play the game.) Some characters will sleep with you much earlier in the relationship, just like some people in real life. There is nothing in this article that says you can't have a meaningful, monogamous relationship with Zevran. Because you can.

I was thinking (hard) to myself 'Why is it that people don't think Zevran is manly? Why would someone consider Alistair more manly than Zevran?'
Then it struck me. Like a thunderbolt.
How much more manly is Zevran with a beard? About a bajillion times more manly.

That is the problem with elves, not them being slightly thinner and shorter than humans. They cant grow beards. If they could, they would be just as manly as any other race.

I'm curious how people would feel if Sten was the M/M option? Would the complaint be not having someone hot? And then Zevran would be a good alternative or would Sten be alright?
It really is more of a curiousity thing as opposed to me saying "things could be worst" or something.

Most likely they'd complain that they didn't want a "bear" for a lover.

Did you read the post by Sheryl Chee where she says you can have a perfectly monogamous relationship with Zevran. She said it's somewhat easier to sleep with him but he isn't all wham-bam-thank you ma'm I believe the phrase was?

So I'm glad that was cleared up, and my PC can pursue a monogamous, committed relationship with Zevran.
