I took the slave girl, told Fenris I was going to pay her, never did.

She seems happy. I haven't treated her poorly. I assume she lives there and eats food Hawke buys off screen. She cleans the place in exchange for food and shelter. Could do worse. Doubt she could do better given things she said, at least until someone teaches her.

I told her to go to my estate. Fenris argued. I said, "Be cool bro, I'm paying her."

It's clear she would not have survived on her own. Releasing her would have been cruel.

This.  It was a good deed, and after the decision is explained, Fenris is cool about it.  He has his issues, but he isn't without Logic.  ^_^

Of course I enslaved her. What else are elves good for?

Then I shipped Fenris back to the Imperium with Danarius.

Just don't pay her and instantly she is worth more than what you paid for her.

I also took her because she calls me Master and that makes me feel superior and all evily. Machinations for world destruction and all that.

I took her in as a paid servant, not a slave, and Fenris gave me 5 friendship points. Posted Image

Told Fenris I would pay her but then I didnt. I felt that I earned to have a slave after all the demon killing I had to do.

First time through, I just gave her ten gold and Fenris muttered something about her being robbed blind before the day is out--but what got me is that her response to getting a bag of gold coins was "I will treasure it always!"

Um, no. You will spend it on food, and shelter. NOW.

After killing every slaver on sight in every possible game, i would've been an astronomical scale hypocrite to keep her as a slave

Well, I originally gave her 10 gold, then after Fenris' speech, Kreia's lecture about charity flashed before me, and took her as a paid servant instead.

Right, hawke taking people in his/her house is the same as saving them, because there no way anything bad can happen there.

Just look at ... *looks around* ... Leandra? ....

I'm confused, where do you get a slave girl? Is it part of Fenris's companion quest because I didn't get to do that in my first run through and I haven't got far enough to start it this playthrough.

The dialogue with Fenris about the whole taking a slave issue is pretty funny. I don't like Fenris so I take the slave, sometimes I don't pay her sometimes I do.

I took her in as a servant and not as a slave as she seems to have no understanding of what it means to be a free person. She seemed as she couldn't handle the responsebility or hadn't the self-esteem to forge her own path in life so I did the best thing to make her life as good as possible.

Yes, and I payed her.

I'm glad I romanced Merrill, with Merrill there she can pass along so dos and don'ts to keep it from being as awkward as it was when she first came to Kirkwall.

We reached a mutually beneficial arrangement where she got paid and my estate was maintained, with Bodahn on his way out it was about time I got someone else to keep the house ship shape. Merrill just leaves handprints on the chandelier. And Isabela carves stuff on the stairwell.

edit : whoops profanity filter?
