Once I started playing Dragon age 2, I did not like some things. One of them is a skilltrees. They are boring and dont have a clear specialization.

There were a few ideas on how to restructure their. Could come up with only 5 skilltrees in each class, each of them use 9 - 11 skill points.

List of skilltrees for each class:

Warrior:
Two-handed weapon damage-dealer with increased attack radius
Weapon and shield - like in original game
Chieftain - short-time group buffs (hp and stamina/mana regeneration, defence), defence active and passive skills
Spiritual warrior - templar and reaver mix
Prayer - different toggle skills, passive skills (incoming healing, immune to control)

Rogue:
Melee DD - with all rogue skills, which cause the greatest damage
Ranger - almost same, as in original game
Saboteur - crowd control skilltree
Shadow - focus on tricky maneuvering. Have toggle hide, which increase damage, doppelganger etc
Specialist - toggle skills, passive skills, which increase damage

Mage:
Elementalist - damage dealer
Enchanter - party support with different toggle and passive skills
Spirit healer - restructured
Maleficar - restructured
Forcemaster - controller and DD, toggle skill, which increase attack

Example
Mage

Elemental (restructured):
Winter's Grasp - has no improvements, but it works like it have Winter's Blast
Cone of Cold - the same as in original game
Fireball - the same as in original game
Firestorm - the same as in original game
Also we have
Chain Lightning - has no improvements, but it works like it have Chain Reaction
Tempest - same as in original game

Enchancement:
Rock Armor - the same as in original game
Arcane Shield
Elemental Weapons
Heroic Aura
Unshakable
Elemental mastery - Fire damage: +50%, Cold damage: +25%, Electricity damage: +25%,BRITTLE chance 100% vs frozen targets, Mana/stamina regeneration rate: +20.

Play equipment should not have restrictions on class, and armor should require only one stat to use (constitution, cunning or will)
If someone would be interested in creating this mod, then i describe skilltrees more better

I am not sure if we have the tools yet to actually do this (if we have i stand corrected)

It's a very interesting idea, currently i find the skill tree's to be utterly boring and leaves little room for "self made" classe's this however would change that.

I'm all for someone doing this but like i said, not sure if we can yet.
