Remember when Sandal froze that ogre in the Deep Roads? ( )

He said "not Enchantment".... so it's magic?
Also, he said that some old scary lady is watching him while he's sleeping -  I assume that he's dreaming being watched or has some kind of vision while he's dreaming and thus is connected to the fade (unlike any other dwarf), leading to magic abilities.

Thoughts?

Sandal also said somthing about that the skys will open and somthing will rise again. I forgot most of it though. I thought it was creepy.

My guess is that he is a special dwarf with special abilities, or just the devs wanting to creep us out.

I'm crossing my fingers that he'll be a prophet and found a new religion.

A girl can dream, right?

Nevertheless, he will turn out to be a dwarven Jesus.

He has a greater role of something.

What we do know, he is not what he seems, and is not something the world has (or known to have) to seen.

Bodain says Sandal is not his son and found him in the Deep Roads. Sandal is either the first dwarf mage in centuries or something greater in disguise.

No. He will turn out to be the father of the Warden and sprout wings and fly to Tatooine.

Personally, I think people are reading into things too much. There really isn't anything to suggest Sandal is anything more than what he is, a Savant. All that the 1-100 chance banter from him is just one more piece of foreshadowing on top of all the other foreshadowing you encounter during the game.

Flying Jesus Sandal condemns you to eternal suffering in the Sarlaac Pit.

so it's coincidence or some kind of dev-running-gag that he always appears (and kills a bunch of monsters)  where the fate of the world is decided?

5 bucks says DAIII will take place where ever Sandal is. *cough cough* ORLAIS *cough*

He is clearly something important and I believe the old lady he sees is Flemeth.

Sorry, I'm not trying to upset anyone, I'm simply presenting what I see as the more plausible argument.

I actually thought that the old lady he was referring to was the ghost of your then deceased mother. now that you mention it, Flemeth's astral projection may be another answer.
