She's more than an old woman. She's not even human.TheJediSaint wrote...

She goes "Iam a old, old woman. Beyond that you neednt know more."
Or, you know, she's just a really old woman, who can turn into a dragon, and stuff.

Its just the way she says it and the fact that she says it to Fenris, a ex Tevinter slave that has knowledge of the Old Gods that makes me believe she is in fact a uncorrupted old god.TheJediSaint wrote...

Magical Resistance
Unlike elves and humans, dwarves do not naturally enter the Fade when they dream and cannot tap into it, though this does not mean they are completely barred from the Fade. Because of this, they have a resistance to magic, which also gives them a resistance to the dangerous effects of lyrium.
It is hinted that dwarves may not be absolutely barred from magic. The fact that dwarves may be forced into the Fade (via Sloth Demon or the First's spell) and that surface dwarves lose resistance to lyrium may be evidence that dwarves may be able to do magic. Dwarves can also learn the Templar and Spirit Warrior specializations, which tap into what are arguably magical powers. Despite this, no dwarf mages are known and it is yet to be seen if they actually do exist.
http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/ElvesThey traded with the Imperium and grew friendly with humans, but soon discovered that breeding with humans produced only human babies, due to the elves' genetic adaptability, while exposure to the ‘quick children’ caused the elves to quicken themselves. For the first time, elves began to age and die.
