Bioware said that it will be three total before ME 3 whatever they are based on story or just package. now, we have two. I guess that we will get one more DLC around September or October. most likely it will be another appearance package for the rest of squad members who didn't get fancy suits.

overlord could be considered the final story dlc... it does involve understanding the geth

Well: IT IS unclear. And I wonder why BW is making the Arrival their last story-based DLC. They should milk this franchise when it's still interesting. Because after ME3 there will be no need for story-based DLC - if ME3 is to be a good closure of the trilogy, there will be no interesting mystery left to solve and no need for DLC; why making Arrival the last one for ME2, then?

This IP is making wayyyyy too much cash to be let go.  It has a flushed out story, unique setting, and great supporting material.  We'll be seeing more Mass Effect after the third.

This is the last story based DLC for Mass Effect 2. It is possible the might be more non-story DLC, but we don't have anything to announce.

Any chance ME: Genesis will be released for the Xbox 360 and PC?

THANK HEAVENS FOR YOU SIR. Please more guns, armor and Alternate Appearances!

I am thinking the same as well. In terms of story content, Arrival is the last. In terms of weapons, armor, and appearance packs...there might be more.

In a way, that doesn't make sense. After Arrival, there will be no reason for me to go back into ME2 so releasing weapons/armor will be irrelevant for consumers like myself which considers Arrival to be the last straw for ME2.

If this is the last story based DLC then perhaps we will see a GotY edition soon. ;)

I hope so, hopefully out just in time for me to finish playing the first one.

Thanks for answer Chris.
scyphozoa: Especially new armor. We have not seen any since Aegis pack.

I really hope we get the other appearance packs, I'm fussy about completionist things :).  Wonder how, if they did do that, they'd do zaeed and kasumi, maybe do 1 in each of the other appearance packs?  Otherwise people who don't have them wouldn't want to download an appearance pack with both in........
Anyway, more weapons and armor would be cool, heck, any DLC for ME games is cool as far as I'm concerned, but if we were going to have 2 or 3 more "little" non story pieces of DLC, then I'd go for appearance packs over weapons and armor, seeing as there's plenty of those varied in the game already, though another heavy weapon if it was done well would be pretty cool, like something as unusual as the blackstorm or the cain.
I wonder, seeing as the normandy crash site was another mission, but was just a little extra, whether it could really be considered story DLC or not?  This has probably been answered already somewhere on the forums, but my point is if that could be considered "little" DLC rather than story DLC, there's a tiny chance we could get something else like that?  I know, it's probably not going to happen, but I just thought I'd point it out.  This would be good, as long as it's not another someting like firewalker pack (rolls eyes).

We should have all learned by now that Mr Priestly never admits they have something to announce until he's ready to announce it :)

When Bioware says several, they mean two.

To be fair. For a game to have DLC almost a year after its been out, is almost un-heard of.

I like to think they did a decent job.

Wait, was Overlord bridging dlc or not?
And if not, can we at least expect to see more dlc sidequests?

(plz answer Chris!)

Only LOTSB and Arrival are considered bridging content. Overlord is basically just an optional sidequest that doesn't happen if you don't complete it.

Maybe Overlord is gonna be in ME3 if you didn't play it.
For example I didn't had Bring Down the Sky and I got report in ME2 about how people died there.

I would buy new appearance packs even if they were the old ones minus the glasses. The glasses were horrible. By the way, any mods for that?

The only DLC they'll probably do will be possibly alternate appearance packs for the remaining squad mates, and then the terminus amor and blackstorm pack, the collectors pack, and the Dr Pepper items, for the xbox, the AA packs for all consoles. It's the only thing that would make sense.

I really hope there will be a dlc that will add alternate armor for every squad member and maybe some new weapons

I don't want them working on ME2 stuff when they could be working on ME3 stuff.
