I'm about to leave act 2 and have just enough gold to grab it for my 2H warr, but I don't remember if there is anything so awesome early in act 3 that I must have.

Why the Forgotten King armor is even in the game, or why it costs over 100g, I really could not tell you.

Also, the full Champion set gives you a set bonus as well.

20% damage resist isn't really worth missing out on the +7 to all stats you could be getting with a Valiance rune slotted in the Champion Warplate. In my opinion.
Actually, putting the Rune of Valiance in the chest is a terrible idea. It's +7 to stats no matter where you put it, but resist runes give values based on the pieces armor value or something like that. So, ideally, you put resist runes in the chest, and Valiance in the gloves or boots.

Really? That seems counter-intuitive, but thanks. I'll keep that in mind on my current character.

If anything it has the best name.
I don't know how they could treat him like that
But yeah it is pretty funny

why would you bother with anything else. extra armor will not be as useful, extra resists will not be as useful except in certain situations. give me a solid reason not to use something like that

lol pretty much this. If they brought it down like 90 gold then it be okay to buy it.AsaTJ wrote...
It sucks. Not even kidding, I think it's the biggest waste of money in the game. The stats on it are nice, but Rune Slots are worth a lot more, and it has none. Warplate of the Champion (which you will get through questing) has two rune slots and, I think, a better base armor value.

I think you're underrating it, but I agree that it's not worth the expense.

2nd, it gives u a whooping 20% damage resistance. which i am now at 48% damage resistance.
3rd, 7 str, 7 dex (7% more crit), 7 stamina, 7 con (35health more) and 7 cun (adds dex) is not as good as immune to stun. i would pick immunity over +7 stats any time. the +153 def is something very godly for 50%+ of the game enemies will not be able to hit you.
i am speaking from a tank's point of perspective and just my 2 cents.

If DA2 used the same tanking paradigm as Origins, I would think this item was totally justified.
