I think his voice actor was pretty damn good, I like the way he looks, and I enjoy controlling his character. I haven't beaten the game yet, but it sounds like I'll get a chance to kill him? Hmm....I like Fenris okay, but I like killing more:devil:. Especially if he is going to keep talking that trash to my old lady...

One thing at the end though, originally he left my party to join meredith, so I fought through the whole of kirkwall without him, then at that talk right before the final battle he sorta casually joined me again.

Ditto. I had his friend level up just enough to get his bonus ability and I chose the sarcastic option when confronting him and Meredith. He "changed his mind to stand with his friend". Which was just as well because he was the tank for my rogue hawke.
I can't use Aveline over him. Everytime I see her I think Jay Leno. Her chin is just too overpowering.

Trauma can turn your hair white. I'm assuming this was the case when Fenris got his lyrium tattoos. As for why his eyebrows aren't white, I'm not all that sure.
This is what I thought as well. To undergo that sort of pain, it makes sense. I don't care for white hair on characters, so huzzah to the modders who gave Fenris some hairdye yet retained a pale color.

Fenris is the ME2 Jacob of DA2.
Wasn't Jacob supposed to be the "emotionally stable" one, though? That's not Fenris at all. More like Varric...
Unless you mean player reaction to him?

Heh. The player reaction to him looks more like Alistair's than Jacob's to me.

Jacob would talk to it about responsibility and duty and how his view of love was affected by his relationship with his father and... *snores*

I acutally think Fenris is more like the DA 2 version of Thane... They both have similar, mysterious killer-type personas to them, not to mention somewhat similar designs in clothing. They both also have their pent-up emotional sides to them- the only difference is Fenris is quicker to show those emotions, where as with Thane, he gradually opens up to you as the game progresses.

Hmmm. Okay, now I'm wondering how far I can stretch this.
Jacob = Varric:
Emotionally stable (compared to the rest of the group), companion quests are about them dealing with a family member who went off the deep end, one of the first party members you get in the game.
Thane = Fenris:
...What he said. ^
Tali = Merrill:
Both cute and quirky with a fun accent. And sort of derpy. And babble when they're nervous.
Miranda = Isabela:
Um, they both have large tracks of land...and they're both leaders on...a...ship...and have issues with their a parent...?
Legion = ???
...okay this actually doesn't work all that well.

one other thing - i've seen it mentioned a few times about his hair and eyebrow color not matching? I have light blond hair and virtually black brows, so er, yeah... it does happen:D

I hate how Fenris is so anti-mage even when he hates slavery for himself and other elves. He is totally one eyed there and it is hard to forgive that.
However he makes a wonderful and loyal love interest, his love scene at the end is really sweet.
He fights well.
His voice is deep and mmmmm.....
His look is ok for me. I used to think he looked too girly but after playing with him I can only say he is very macho.
I didnt like having to support him to kill his own sister to get his loyalty points, that's a bit tasteless
So I love fenris but also don't like him too. I do prefer the little bit crazy but oh so sweet Anders.
Ahh but none of the romances yet are as good as the one with

No, more honestly I keep thinking about Fenris the Norwegian black-metal joker. Still, the name doesn’t work for me. Perhaps the writers should have put some more thought into all these names. If Elves more generally had Nordic names, I wouldn’t mind Fenris ... just like if Elves had names like called Hamlet and Romeo maybe I wouldn’t have minded Orsino either ^^

Anders : ''So you want to teh mages !''
Fenris : ''Mages suck, fool ! Go burn yourself, Maleficar ! Hope you rot on a Circle of Magi !''

Merill : ''Elves always did magic, it's in our roots ! ''

Also the whole anime thing was cheesy as well, little shout out to the non existent bioware Japanese market.
Yeeees, because only Japanese fiction uses white hair as a sign of trauma or otherworldliness. Characters like Storm, or heck, Moses in The Ten Commandments are obviously just homages to anime and nothing more.

Storm's hair has nothing to do with trauma though. Every female in her bloodline has White hair, blue eyes, dark skin, and a talent for sorcery. Storm just happens to be a mutant on top of that.
