I was initially concerned with this game because EA is horrible. . . i hate most of what they've done to gaming as a whole. most of their games feel "cheap" or just leave you feeling like someone dove into your wallet and jacked 60 bucks from you. I'm happy to say that this was very very much not the case with Dragon age.
Having finished the Mage playthrough i can't wait to start a rogue and play as a dwarf. The dept to the story and the character you travel with as well as the flexibility to be good / evil and not have it mean you yourself are either good or evil in everything else you do is absolutly astounding. The level of graphics mixed with the smooth stratigic gameplay make this game more immesful than most games i've played. I've been a gamer as long as i can remember and i've played just about everything i can get my hands on and this game has already hit my top 5 games of all time. It doesn't miss a beat in trasitions between story arcs and it gives you the distinct feeling that every choice you make impacts something somewhere without coloring your character in absolutes. what i mean to say is i can tell a begger off one moment then still be praised for my good deeds to the chantry the next though that one begger will later come back and get angry for my rude attitude. i do something bad and yea it makes me a bad person but only for those involved though sometimes your choices have a larger impact . . .
the music mixed with the sounds of combat and general exploration is amazing. you can litterally sit back someitmes and just relax listening to it or you can keep playing and it only adds to the enviroment. though i do wish "Dog" barked a bit less in camp. . .
All in all this game is an amazing buy for anyone who is able / willing to get their paws on it. I've been greatly dissapointed with games over the last few years and this has renewed my faith that game developers out there still know what players look for in a game.
Thank you Bioware for an experience that will stick with me for years to come.
