I did it pretty easily on my first playthrough. But now I'm half way through Act II and she's still pretty much in the middle for me.



Should I just restart Act II from the beginning?

I have the same problem.......I have to go against every iota of integrity I have to even get on her good side at all.

i rebuffed her advances because I was gunning for Merrill. I think that dropped me a bit, but it was more that i couldn't gain her favor.

I wonder if it would be easier to push her to max rivalry...? It's easy to do with Fenris.

Isabela is a morally grey character. Every action you take you never know whether you gonna get more rivalry or more Frienship points with her.

I had a problem with friending her too, only time I got significant friend points for her was during the Night Terrors sidequest, so that's my only tip :/

Are you kidding? I wonder if it's even possible to get rivalry with her because she agrees with everything I do. The worst part is her friendship serves as a major bug for the entire game. Bah. <_<

Well, without spoiling, it doesn't take much specific action during the quest, and the points come from a dialogue you get to have with her after the quest is over and she's back at the Hanged Man.

Well, without spoiling, it doesn't take much specific action during the quest, and the points come from a dialogue you get to have with her after the quest is over and she's back at the Hanged Man.

First playthrough she was my romance.
Second playthrough so far I had sex with her, and then run her off in a full out rivalry.
I honestly think Isabela is my fav NPC in DA2 of course it could be cause i know how HOTTTTT the VA is.

The Night terrors quest, what you want to do, is when she gets offered the boat in the fade, give the joking response. You'll say something like "How can I compare with that?" That gives you +5 I think for her. Then AFTER when you go to her to talk about the fade, just say you forgive her. She's stunned it's that simple and say you consider her friends. It'll give you some huge points to boost you up.

Not a huge difference after the Night Terrors quest.

...Guess I have to show her the six things women are good for.

Hm. I told her she can have the book so the points went up another 10 or so. It's far enough along the bar to grant me her friendship bonus (if you can call it that) but I'm not sure if that's enough for her to return at the end of Act II.

Ugh.

I thought I was home-free when I got her Questioning Beliefs quest after I let her keep the book BUT NOOOO she still didn't show up at the keep.

Ah, well. I feel somewhat accomplished for "dueling" the Arishok as a Spirit Healer.

...might restart ACT II after all.

I had her full friendship shortly after starting Act 2. I had to "cater" to her whims in a couple of minor instances in order to boost friendship in Act 1. I got 2 HUGE boosts at the start of Act 2, one for +25, followed directly by one for +20, which got me nearly all the way to 100% friendship. Those 2 dialogs were when she is at the Hanged Man at the start of Act 2 and talks about how she thinks you are OK. There is a "heart" option to flirt with her for a kiss which gets you +25 at the end. Then, immediately after, I clicked on her to converse again in (start of Act 2 in Hanged Man) where she is playing cards with Merrill and replies that she always wins "Because, I cheat Kitten." Flirt and be nice in that dialog and I got another +20. That is +45 friendship in a matter of minutes. But she was already on the plus friendship side for me prior to those 2 conversations. I am a male warrior by the way. I did not have Merrill romance active yet. Maybe that is why I had an easy time? Next time at your Estate she shows up and you can "get to know her!"

I had no problems getting max friendship with Isabela, and I didn't romance her. I can't remember exactly which options I chose, but I made her return the book, forgave her afterwards, and backed her up against Castillon and his lackey. I didn't even get a kiss!
