As it is now, all the Scars and Tattoo content (http://social.biowar.../&v=discussions) I release will only be usable with the toolset. I would like to make this content available to everyone. So I'm looking for someone who could help me implement the scars and tattoos into the character creation GUI.

Photoshop CS4 with the .DDS Nvidia plug-in. After I get my Scar/Tattoo add-in up I think I'll do a full tutorial for both the scars and tattoos.

This is not hard to do. Extract the "Misc.erf" and you'll find a file there called chargenmorphcfg.xml - open it up and it should become obvious what you have to do: just add new lines referencing your new tattoos for each race/gender they apply to.

Ok, so I've extracted the file, added my new tattoo lines, placed the file in the override folder, but my tattoos don't show up. What am I missing?

Oops my bad, I meant tattoos, I've just been working them so close together lately I get them mixed up. Yes, my tattoos aren't showing up, i haven't tried scars yet.

I've been successful adding new preset faces, but not tattoos... have you noticed that the tattoo textures listed in chargenmorphcfg.xml don't necessarily match the texture names/resources in the toolset?

Just adding your custom texture name to the list doesn't seem to work. Must be missing something?
DJmacpher, this thread is kind of old...have you had any luck getting custom preset tattoos to work?
