It's a bit long and a little random. So bare with me.
1. Voiced protagonist. I don't see why we can't have one and still feel like we have the same depth of conversation and character choices we had in DA:O.
Also, I would hope that the next protagonist is both better written and connects emotionally with the story better than Hawke did at times. Although I had my issues with both genders of Hawke's performances (especially fem-Hawke's odd posh accent), but I had a hard time believing Hawke cared what was going on (and that's regardless of Hawke's innate snarkyness).
2. The class system from Origins or something more akin to it. I really felt this was one of DA2's worst decisions. We're restricted so much here, not just with what kind of weapon we can wield (which is even more strict for companions) and I don't consider the DA2 system to have much benefit over Origins.
3. More Qunari (and more fleshed out character wise). I liked the Qunari redesign (although I'm not against seeing Origins Sten as a variant of the species), but I felt that character wise we only got toe deep into their culture. I think it's a shame that the Arishok who had great potential didn't do more and was fairly one note. I'd like to see them humanised a bit more, in that I mean we see more facets of their character and culture (which I think Sten did a better job in Origins).
4. Less armour/enemy/area resource reuse. I think this has been a problem to an extent from the start and perhaps what led to companions going with a unique look due to Origins having a limited variation on armours. At least the art direction took a better turn in general for DA2, but there was still a lot of clone-age and I'm sure we'd all like to see less of that. It's especially frustrating to find some hard earned armour is essentially a clone of some basic armour.
Also, more demon types in game. I thought there was too much blobs as demons in Origins and DA2.
5. A better party banter system. I think it improved slightly over Origins, but I'd wouldn't mind if the companions involved your character, since they are now voiced, and could even reference choices you've made.
6. Choose your race and Origin. Personally I think you can still limit the voice actors to just the two for the he and she protagonists and not worry too much about accents for various races. The Origin feature was great and I think most will argue it adds a lot to the experience.
7. Companions as deep as Origins. I don't want to start seeming like I'm harping on that "Origins was teh better", just that I believe that Origins companions were better written and I didn't feel it was a chore at times to interact with them or do their personal quests. I just think that there was too much angst and such with DA2's companions and that Origins ones felt like they were more their own people at times and had better developed characters.
8. Actual choices and consequences. I realise there is something of a forced narrative here in Dragon Age and that sometimes what you want to do or say may take a back seat, but I think that proved to be a double edged sword since it was really lacking in terms of choices your character could make or tangible consequences in game.
9. Flemeth & Morrigan. I would personally like some real insight into their characters. Outside Morrigan growing up as a Wild Witch there isn't a great lot to go on with these characters and they feel as though they're all mystique and little substance. I really want to see these characters reach they're potential.
10. Griffons. I don't care how for the most part. Whether it be the last of its kind newborn hatchling or some kind of Revenant's Undead pet I want to see one in game. I think it was a bit of a shame that Origins often told you how great they all were, but they're dead now so that's that.
That's my list of randomness that I can think of for just now.
