1. A great story.
2. Companions with a deep back story and enough dialogue to tell me about themselves. I don't want to learn who they are through the journal but through their dialogue with me and the other companions. I WANT BETTER ROMANCE CUT SCENES. I LIKED THE ORIGNS CUT SCENES. THEY WERE SWEET.
3. I want to be able to be something other than human.
4. Please do not make the elves look like ET anymore. It's the eyes--the eyes were too large to appeal. We, as a species, focus on eyes. The eyes should be more human-like.
5. I like being voiced. It would be nice to have more than three dialogue choices, but I can live with 3.
6. I'd like archery to work as it does in Skyrim. Like, you actually have to aim and shoot. I also like their sneak mechanics.
7. Keep magic mechanics as it is now but bring back some of the older spells and Arcane Warrior.
8. I would like to be an Avaar barbarian and explore that culture! I'd love to have the origins tutorial back again. I loved that method of entering the story. It was fantastic.
9. Make all companions romancable by either sex, but keep the dialogue written to that you can imagine your LI to be gay, straight or bi.
10. Don't give me armor I can never wear. I hated that! Maybe I don't want to invest in the stats necessary to wear, it but I should have that choice.
11. Keep giving us great mage armor. It was so much better than the robes in DA:O.
12. No crazy puffy hoods. Give us decent mage hoods, please.
13. Don't let me kill anyone you may want to revive in DA:4.
14. Give me the equivalent of CAMP. Somewhere where the team all comes together and we can talk..

2. To feel like my choices are driving the action, rather than feel like I'm running errands for anybody who asks. Note: This does not mean I must be able to succeed at anything I want, but I do want to feel like my character is trying to accomplish something.
3. Companions who don't sound off constantly on one issue. And have lots to say.
4. If new enemies appear during a combat, have them come through logical entrances rather than fall from the sky.
5. Ways to resolve quests without combat.
6. Rational adversaries.

Actual effort put into each and every side quest.
Some real choice and consequence.
A new game engine (probably not happening, but they need one). A return to more 'realistic' visuals, but in a more fantastic setting, if that makes sense.
Plenty of companions of course.
Boss fights that are more than just giant piles of health and damage.
And of course, a well written story that you have an actual effect on.

- I would love the dragon age team to show the same/similar amount of dedication
- i would love the team to have as many resources( its a stretch) as mass effect 3.
- More third party tools should be used in the development(faster or even better than what they have)
- Dragon age 2 although my favorite game had a horrible development cycle. I'm not looking for longer but i am looking for a better development cycle(longer does not mean better)
-The team should have up top morale and should not let the bad reviews get to them.
- Resources (i emphasise this cause this is important lol)
infact if they could even post pone it to the next generation console it would be swell. More things to work with

Seriously though
-3 major towns would be nice but I didn't mind the whole working out of kirkwall and dealing with only it's numberous problems as much as most seem too, still 2 minor settlements like a small fishing villiage and town outside the walls wouldn't go completely amiss.
-Varied dungeons and caves, think it's fairly universal the opinion that the single cave with different dead ends was awful.
-Anders, preferbly a companion again, he could die before and make it out he could do it again, if the templar v mage war is the focus or still happening you can't be missing the pivotal character of it.
-Would be nice to go back to Origins, origin stories, Human, elf, mage, dwarf but I enjoyed being hawke and likely would have been my choice anyway. Your brother/sister being set and the events of them living being set solely based on your sex and class choice...scrap it give the power back to us there so we have the class and the story thoughout the game if we want it.
-I miss the camp, running around everywhere got annoying at times, I guess certain times certain people should be elsewhere, but in particular our noble home was so direly empty at all times, surely all Id need to do is buy a crate of beer, rum and wine and isabella would never leave.
-Back to origins equipment and companion equipment method, it's great find 3 sets of warrior gear on your mage hawke, so it sees no use.
-More junk and humorous items, I hate it in TES mostly due to a poorly done UI and the fact its frequently utterly pointless in everyway yet takes up space in a limited carry method. For the love of all that is good, keep junk gifts and resources seperate and don't go over to a TES or DE:HR method of carrying, I don't wish to spend half my game time juggling.
-I don't know how it could be done well, if it even could and not get boring, but I hate having to reload saves to switch out 2 people to see different opinions, in key points you have them all chip in, although that all the time could be boring and when they say thier bits at those points they rarely react to the other companions lines like they do in a party.
-Finish the game you set out to make, don't cut corners with single areas you visit 500 times or leave the 3 act end so quickly after spending time building to it. I like your zoned areas created, they tend to have uniqueness that a game like TES, open world, loses completely.
-Don't take too many queues from Skyrim, DA:O is a far better game then that will ever be. It's buggy the open world has cost it so much, all the characters are total planks of wood(far more then many seem to want you to believe yours are), romance is shallow and boring giving no connection, combat is every bit as repetitive if not more so then the waves (50 zombies is not somehow magically better then 5x5waves of them), the whole game is frankly a hollow shell of them saying look how many features we have and you can climb our mountains when all of them are less then they should be, Quality over quantity.
-Worst come to worst, you cannot complete the story in time for a deadline your not allowed to push back anymore, seperate the rest into DLC/exspansions, I'd rather have a game with all it's parts feeling full, complete, well done and capable to be added after the end then one which has it's last part or 2 skimmed over which you can't really add in as a dlc later.
-Optional but DA:O seems far more modable then DA2, fix that and even try make it easier if you can, a CK like Bethesda does is one queue that could be welcomed. Although I have a feeling it's more EA's fault, they've systematically made each sims less moddable to sell you more in bits and pieces.

How about more roll playing for me would be cool. Companions that can come and go and move on and get mad. People who just do not get along....people who get along too well. Trouble makers...drinkers etc. People you can count on and people you can not who you may have to ask to find their place in the world.

Normal companions especially male chars. Really Aveline and Varric are only normal person without whining, psycho, complexes and depressed speeches.
Merill was quite normal...she just liked to cut her self from time to time...

Well whatever they were, whatever was happening in them certainly was not sex.Lord Aesir wrote...

I prefer DA2's approach immensely, I thought it was sweeter and far more personalized for each character. I don't need or particularly want to see poorly-rendered body models rubbing up against each other. It's enough to simply know that sex occured.

OK: I would like a game that was somewhere close to the style, method and gameplay of Dragon Age: Origins, or even dare I say Baldur's Gate 2.Without actually moving backwards, I would still like to see this type of game exist and evolve. This is what I would like to play and will buy as soon as somebody does it.
I would also like it if people didn't bring sex into things until I seek it out, so I can choose whether I want that or not, and I can have an enjoyable fantasy adventure, and my PC can have a functional "friendship" with a companion without it getting weird.
I like the romance stuff, but would like the choice not to go there in a given play-through, made a little more possible.
I know, I know, I'm totally in the minority on those points.

I agree as well. I found the da:o once akward and prefer the personalized one. I would like the scenes to be longer, though. but that is only because I like a bit of fluff sometimes.

2. More character customization (Return of race select would be nice, possibly with a new race?)
3. More weapons and armour
4. A protagonist that's a leader (Compare Hawke to ME's Shepard, Hawke = Baa! Baaa!!)
5. A clever plot with twists, and No "Oh.. so he was a Blood Mage all along..." moments
6. More Mage armour, less dressing gowns
7. Answer some important questions (What happened to the God baby? Where's the Warden? ect.)
8. No more "Acts" (Framed narrative I think it's been called?), present tense is so much better
So.. Basically, if Dragon Age 3 can achieve this I'm happy as a pig in *bleep*

Agreed! I don't understand how anyone could think the new look Zev (or all the elves for that matter) was an improvement. The new darkspawn are also pretty bad. The Quanari are an improvement I will give them that though.
BIOWARE handled it badly. There are tonnes of mods that do him justice.
