All I want is to know that my companions don't pretend to like me just so I would do favors for them.
...
And even more grey morality.

What I would like to see is a much more complex friend/rival matrix for the entire party. Let your companions build friendships/rivalries/romantic relationships between them. Example: if Anders and Fenris are both in your party and Fenris says something anti-mage (as he is wont to do on occasion) Anders gets +10 rivalry towards Fenris. Or maybe Bethany and Anders (or Isabella. Giggidy.) might eventually hook up. Your romantic advances towards one or the other might cause friendship/rivalry to the involved parties depending on their relationship. Make it a much more immersive circle of companions.

Replacing DA2 companions with whoever we end with in 3, obviously.

I want less whiners on the DA3 forums as well. that would be awesome Bioware. perhaps with better mods to prevent the chaos DA2 had. We come here to discuss not whine and cry.. there is hundreds of sites for blogs lol

Let DLC finish DA2's story.

It's time to move on to another character. I don't even really like Hawke or his family anyways. Dragon Age is about important characters that made a difference during, well, the Dragon Age, right? Even as much as I liked my Warden, I think he's done.

My DA3 top ten wishlist (in no particular order and from the top of my mind):
1. Ability to play different races (solved by the ol' adopted background = same accent for voiced protagonist)
2. Voiced protagonist, it gives the protagonist character and depth.
3. The conversation wheel, I like it. It's a clever way of showing your options.
4. Fatalities/Kill animations. No more exploding corpses!
5. No recycled maps
6. Companion armor
7. More choices when it comes to character building. I miss my Str/Dex dual longsword wielding Rogue.
8. Same combat pace but no more waves of enemies.
9. Less linear story, more main quests, less sidequests.
10. More armor sets, 3 is not enough.

This, exactly.

Well I'm so glad that you can't handle what other people think of the game, I have an idea, if you don't like the opinions of the people here why don't you stop coming?

An inteligent weapon. We know that demons and spirits may be trapped in objects so, why not getting an "alive weapon" we can talk to?

Does it sound stupid? Elric´s sword, Stormbringer, is a character like this.

What I want:
- Hawke can have a cameo, but shouldn't be the main character.
- I'd love any of my Wardens to play a part but there are too many ways that DA:O/DA:A/WH could have left things to think that a DA:O Warden would be more than a cameo at best
- Something that gives us more insight into the Qunari, Tevinter empire, or Orlais (to name only three areas in the rich lore)
- Something that has replay value (I doubt I'll play DA2 all the way through more than twice, even if I ever actually finish my first one...and I played DA:O all the way through at least four times before slowing down...)
- Fewer enemies who turn out to be exploding bags of blood
- Occasional mages who are good and stand by their convictions (*not* either abominations and/or blood mages)
- At least two maps each for beaches, mansions, caves, etc.
- EDIT:  A couple of companions and choices in the game that engage me the way the conversations and events did in DA:O (e.g.:  Actually caring about Dagda, and asking more questions to figure out what Leliana was really doing)

Hmm. That looks like most of what I wanted/expected in DA2. And *that* is why I won't be preordering DA3 no matter what the hype says.  (How is it that at this point I still care more about Mama Cousland than about Mama Hawke?)

What do I want from DA3? I'd be happy with a game the same as DA2 but with NO recycled areas, and an auto-attack option on consoles. More varied environments wouldn't hurt either. At the very least we need more visits to the fade and the dwarven thaigs.

Oh and we need the Origins thing back along with the ability to play different races. I would love to be able to play as a Qunari, if only for a laugh.

Hysterical Woman: "Oh please ser help! My daughter has been captured by evil blood mages, please help her!"

You as Qunari: "No."

I'd say continue the story from DAO, use the DA2 engine, unique maps and environments, in depth relationships with adult cut scenes, a long game, less hack and slashing, no simplifying or dumbing it down, proper plots and storyline that builds up over time instead of all at once, chose human, elf, dwarf or Qunari, runes can be removed from weapons and armor and used again, not linear and have multiple outcomes and endings, etc.....basically, take the time to make the game and not rush it in 18 months!!!

If DA3 is the same as DA2, I won't be buying it this time.......

What I would like to see in DA3:

- No direct continuation of the Warden's story. Or a chance to import Origins-to-DA2 decisions and play as a completely different one.
- Hawke, unless there is an expansion pack that nicely wraps up his/her story as well.
- Any companions we have had in DA games so far (except, if they were killed by the player, DA3 should recognize this).
- More interesting fights and no teleporting mooks that fall from the sky.
- A camera similar to the one we had in the PC version of Origins.
- Some more variation with cave designs, etc.
- Being able to converse with companions once in a while - not only when they feel like it; once or twice a year.

To sum up, I wouldn't mind a game very similar to DA2, but with more tactical fights, a better camera, less reusing of same areas (or those areas should be more interesting), and the possibility to interact with companions more.

Pretty much this, with one addition:

- PUZZLES.  Dear Maker, what happened to the puzzles?  One of my favorite things about DA:O was the puzzles. :<

some companion ideas for next game:

Input DA2 and DAO saves:

new qunari: a tal-vashoth two handed warrior, one quest sees a cameo from sten and doing something to for him on par vollen.

Alister: If you picked him as king, he returns so your character can help solve some problems he faces as king. Locked in companion when doing missions related to his rule in Ferelden.

Hawke: By inputting DA2 data, he joins to further his role in helping solve problems in and around kirkwall. He is only available for missions that take part around kirkwall, as a locked in companion. This would be nearer the end of the game to help with why he has a high starting level.

The Warden: Again by inputting your DAO data, he joins you as a companion and is locked in for certain missions all around the game world. It was mentioned that it might take Hawke and The Warden to stop the problems that are occuring.

Leliana: Returns in the hope that you will help solve some problems in Orlais.

Morrigan: Joins the party in the hope that you will help to defeat flemeth, once and for all. Other plots involve the wardens son. Maybe a kidnap or something along those lines, maybe involving Flemeth.

Oghren: Joins the party because of problems amongst the dwarven community,. Also a cameo by varric who you join for a mission to help varric do something, varric would be a locked in companion during this time.

New Elven Character: Is a mage. cameos involving zevran, fenris and merril, none of which are playable during the quests but they are all related to the quest.

Sandal: After going to Orlais he joins through request to help protect orlais. One plot involves helping bodahn set up a new shop, maybe collecting junk items like broken swords which he will turn into new weapons to be sold and some to be given to the player. Bodahn will be kidnapped by dwarven thiefs and made to build them something that they need for a specific task, unless you can rescue him.

Shale: Shale is a locked in companion for a quest in which you try and return her to her former self

so

locked in companions for specfic missions:

Hawke
Alister
Shale
Varric
The Warden

Companions:

Morrigan - Mage
Leliana - Archer
New qunari - Warrior
New elf - Mage
Oghren - Warrior
You - This could be any class and any race, with a small origins style intro which is played out like a prequel to the events that are occuring in the current times. So its an origin style backstory which explains who you were prior to fighting alongside the party members
Sandal - Rogue

you can travel far on foot but because quests will take place in many of the towns and citys previously featured or mentioned in the series so far, you will need a ship. This is where a cameo from isabella takes place. She wont be playable but will transport you to different locations when needed. Catch a ship to Orlais or Par Vollen, give isabella a shout. Some locations involved include:

Denerim
Par Vollen
Kirkwall
Starkhaven - Where sebastian cameos. He eventually returned.
Redcliffe
Ostagar
Lothering
Orzammer
Various Mages Circles
Amaranthine

Amongst others that have been mentioned in the series. You will visit different nations, Tevinter/Ferelden/Free Marches/Antiva etc...As an elite political problem solving unit. The United Nations of Dragon Age. lol

gameplay should be DAO but with DA2 combat system, tweaked to allow more strategy. DA2 resource and crafting system. The option to have fixed companion armors that upgrade or fully customisable armors. As mentioned before weapon crafting using resources, such as junk items like broken swords and silverite for example. Stats depend on items used, you could attach runes before crafting to add certain attributes. different resources could connect to make different weapons, certain junk items give +attack to weapon others give +critical for example. The dialogue wheel can stay but make the wording give a clear incite into what will be said. The player house would be included but companions could be spoken to anywhere, not just at their house, maybe the player is eventually based at a big castle/mansion given to them during the game and all companions stay in this area. Also have the mabari return as an ability not a companion, also let mages summon creatures to aid you again.

This wont ever happen but id love it if it did. I can dream

4. A bit of randomness in enemy waves.

Right now, once you've fought a battle, you know exactly how it will play out each time you play the game again. I'd be interested in a bit more randomness in enemy composition.

Or just cut out waves altogether.  No, I don't mean that.  I think the idea of enemy reinforcements has potential, but it was improperly executed in DA2.  It does not need to be even a fraction as common as it was in DA2.

1) I want the return of flexibility in terms of customizing companions.  I don't need the ability to turn Wynne into a blood mage, or whatever the DA3 equivalent might be.  But give me back item flexibility and skill flexibility.  You can lock down companion specializations or give them unique trees.  Fine.  But let me give Merrill a Heal spell or two.

2) Increase our defensive options.  More heals, more shielding spells, wards, etc. would be welcome.

3) Fine tune resource management.  Fights are too top heavy and I don't like relying on potions.  Give us skills to manage our resources.  Second Wind and Bolster are steps in the right direction.

1. more spells (more damaging spells and less sustained mode spells)
2. bring the origins back
3. I really want to play as a qunari. a origin story for a qunari mage could be amazing
4. Another mabari companion. One that is a different color (nothing wrong with the first ones but they both look exactly the same
5. No more mage robes. mage armor would be much cooler
6. More armor variety.
7. More tattoos and hair styles
8. multiple endings
9. The introduction of a new race
10. More main story quests
