Gameplay Wise
1. Mix of DA2 and DAO: Dragon Age Origins had us fighting through enemies and then you're done and DA2 had waves of enemies attack us in an ambush fashion. A mix of the system would be nice. It was a bit odd that I was being ambushed by Shades and Demons but made sense that more Highwaymen and Bandits were ambushing me.
2. Talent Trees: I like the way talents worked in DA2 more. By all means keep the system.
3. Warrior Archer and Duel Weapon: I always was a duel weapon warrior in DA:O. Having to use one of these infernal new contraptions known as a "shield" I wasn't very fond of.
4. More Specializations and Companion Specs: 4 in DA:O, 6 in DA:A and 3 in DA2? I know shorter development time may have restricted them but as most fans would say "MOAR!". As for companion specs I felt it was odd that Anders my Awakening Spirit Healer no longer was one (even though you could learn the same talents in Vengeance). Being able to have our companions spec in one of Hawke's specializations would be nice. As well as Hawke maybe learning one of the companion's spec trees from friendship or rivalry with a companion. I'm not just saying that because my rogue hawke wants to be a Marksmen like Varric.
Story Wise
1. Larger World: Kirkwall was an interesting experiment but I myself am into seeing more of the world. Doesn't mean we can't have large cities, just throw in large places like the Deep Roads or Brecillian Forest from DA:O.
2. Even Amount of Companions: DA:O had warriors outnumbering every other companion. DA2 had Rogues and depending on your class warrior/mage being tied with them and the other having less.
3. Time Narrative: I liked the decade passing in Kirkwall, I liked living throughout Ezio's life in AC2. I'd love it if that frame of narrative was kept.
4. Origins: While I enjoyed DA2. I miss the Origins. So many possible choices for what we would have been in Kirkwall if Origins were kept.
Cinematic Wise
1. Voiced Protagonist: Hawke, both male and female, sounded awesome. By all means keep the voice acting if we can expect this quality.
2. Dialogue Tree: This is more of a preference and a safety want. People found it a little to much like Mass Effect want the old system back. I preferred the old system although I would like the intent icons to remain. Those were helpful.
3. Non-floating Weapons and Bowstrings: The mystery of the missing bowstrings continue!
What do you want for Dragon Age III?

GREY WARDENS !!!!
Playing as a Grey Warden helps to make the character seem more than ordinary. A destiny, so to speak. Blood magic apostates, and Templar, are all pretty common place in Ferelden and I felt in no way superior to them. Just some guy with a chip on his shoulder who just happened to be buddy buddy with the character that actually has the balls to change the world. Kinda dis-empowering.
Keep new art style - It's nice to see someone as powerful as Flemeth look the part.
The lack of immersion from not looking at an actual book or scroll of paper when reading text was very surprising to me. It must be brought back. Along with companion dress-up.
I agree with the statements mentioned numerous times prior.
More locations. Take more time developing the game.

1. The dialogue system from DA2. I loved everything about it, but especially the pacing throughout the story. That flowed really well for me, much better than the list in DAO.
2. Multiple personal quests for companions.
3. Maria mentioned the crafting system. Second that. It's the first time I bothered with it.
4. Unique armor suits for companions. It's amazing how much I liked them once I got over the fact that all those pieces of equipment in my inventory are just good for selling and nothing else.
5. The combat system. I'm on the side that really liked it.
6. PC quarters/home/what-have-you. That was great.
7. Dark content. DA2 > DAO, but I know you can do better, BioWare.
8. Connection. By which I mean, character cameos, references to previous games, plus frequent mentions of what's going on in the rest of Thedas. Teasers work, too.
9. Companions. I want them back.
10. Friendship/Rivalry system.
I'm probably missing stuff.

Here's my list, several things are probably already listed.
-companions (one from each) from; Orlais, Antiva, Free Marches, and Ferelden (they can have two from anywhere except Orlais, I hate their accents)
-back to atleast three race choices, the Qunari choice would be sweet if introduced as playable
-no more button of awesome
-cameos(not forced) from all the companions of Origins and Dragon Age 2
-dialogue wheel and voice (voice choices though instead of just one set voice)
-more Sandal ;P
Edit: I want another brothel in this Dragon Age 3, my PC will always need time away from Darkspawn, romances, and bothersome people with problems that they give to him.

I want assasin's creed brotherhood-like graphics, aesthetics, crowded steets with party based combat, leveling, xp, romances and choices.

To be set in the Tevinter Imperium. In both games mages were treated like ****, I would like it to be the opposite in DAIII.
For everything else I think BioWare knows what they need to fix.

1. A better way of picking weapons. I'm partial to playing as a Rogue and I love the redesigned Rogue but the weapons available left something to be desired. I could never find two weapons that matched with the same damage. I would like to see a store where weapons could be crafted for you.
You start out with a basic design say a dalish dagger, then you pay for the customizations that will be added to it like rune slots, the base damage it does. Just like you had to find craft resources. Find weapon resources that weaponsmiths can use create your weapons...to your specifications.
There could be specialty stores that create specialty weapons: Antivan, Dalish, Fereleden, and others. In those particular store you will find the basic off the shelf weapons or where you can have the custom weapons created.
2. Keep the framed narrative. I like the changes in the game but create more environments. The repetitive over use of the same environments hurt the game.
3. Bring back on the fly weapon switching like in Origins. It was a hassle to stop the game every time I wanted to switch between daggers and a bow.
4. I would like an armor that looks like a ninja suit. +2 Dexterity. +2 Cunning. attack speed +15%. Immunity to flanking. 2 rune slots. This one could be added to a future DLC for Dragon Age 2.

A different game, less of a half-baked action cRPG, and more of a explore/action/adventure/stealth etc. cRPG ~ with hard decisions that matter, unlike DA2 (Kaidan or Ashley from ME1 is a good example, saving the city or saving Isabela would have been a good one in DA2, instead of giving up Isabela or have probably the best fight a heavily combat game has to offer.)
& let us keep our decisions, or at least don't make one possible choice in DA:O or DA2 canon over other possible solutions.

Actually I liked the direction DA2 was intented to evolve to - but I just could get an Idea of that Direction, because the Game appears so totally rushed and half baked. It seems as if it's not really finished jet.
And I suspected that - When I heard about the release of DA2 shortly after my first playthrough of DA:O, I was really really wary. And what did I learn from my Experience with DA2? Never buy a Game you cannot imagine to meet your expectations based on the developing Time (Or at least do not pre-order it - wait unitl it's on your distributors junk pile for 10€, because that's what DA2 is worth)!
So the first thing I would want from DA3 is that Bioware takes his time developing it - I want to see where their Ideas/this Evolution can lead to. I don't wanna just dream about it. I liked the new crafting System, the companions, dialogues and the Story, as well as the new Skill Trees, especially those of your companions. I'm sure they had a lot more great Ideas and I'm willing to wait for them. If DA3 is released anytime earlier than June 2013, I simply won't buy it.
Having said that, my second demand on DA3 kind of comes along with my first one: A more detailled World (which includes unique Icons for Items AND Item Descriptions, an explorable World-Map, unique Dungeons [My God, those over-repeating Ones are that boring. Did they really think players don't care about that?!?], less Bugs [At the Moment Kirkwall is an ugly Planet, it's a Bug Planet!], at least SOME chances to actually affect the Story not just some surroundings and I would appreciate it if the many different injuries of DA:O were brought back. And so on...)
Last but not least: The Fights (especially the Exploding-Enemy-Finish) are coming out so over-excited, flustered and psyched up, it feels like reading a Sun-Headline. The Sun is evil!
As some Posters already said, the Killing Moves in DA:O were so special, because they were staged in a special way apart from the "normal" fighting actions.
I hope this came out in a constructive way and not in the totally frustrated way I'm stuck in at the Moment just thinking of the Games Bugs.
Best wishes,
Alfred

..also can you guys in Bioware stop killing off the nicer people in the game? You know of what I speak. It seems that if a noted NPC has grey (gray?) hair and is favored, they get deaded.
In this, my final rant I put in a vote to make Cassandra (The hottie Seeker with the adorable accent) a main character with dual-combo skills for DA 3. Ma Seranas, may the dread wolf never lock up your game.

1) mix of combat in the fights between DAO and DA 2
2) archer and dual wield specs for warriors
3) a method of opening locked chests and doors for warriors and mages .( this means you do not "feel" a need to have a rogue in your party all the time)
4) party size equal to the total number of companions you can choose from , or at least a party size of 5-8 plus the PC.

I loved the friendship/rivalry system, and the resulting differences in dialogue and story. I like that this changes the flavor of romances. That I never needed to metagame companion approvals to get their quests is a great thing.
I loved the glimpses of companions interacting without Hawke there.
I liked the talent trees, respecs, and the cleaned-up interface. I usually felt that most-to-all of my abilities were useful. I'd like to be able to equip all companions in the interface, as we could in the campsite.
I'd like to keep the helm-hiding feature, and have autoattack.

More Varied Environments
This was my one big complaint about DA2. I loved everything else about it, but the fifteenth time I stepped into the same cave with no effort to make it feel different at all, I wasn't pleased. I also didn't like how the maps stayed the same but some of the rooms were closed off. I'm big on exploration, and my first time through the game I kept trying to get to the inaccessible areas.
All Bi Love Interests
I know BioWare's been getting heat for this, but I support it whole-heartedly. And they handled it great. Every character's sexuality was slightly different and it fit their background and personality. Plus, it gave options to the player. And those who say it's unrealistic: only Isabela and Anders really made it known to you (and the latter only if you were male). For Fenris and Merrill, it never comes up unless you flirt first. It's easily ignored if you don't want to deal with it, but there for those of us who appreciate it's inclusion.
Plus, for once I felt one of the gay options (Anders) actually had a better arc during the same-sex romance than the straight one because of his history with Karl. This is far different from Origins, where Zevran made it clear he prefers women but a male Warden will do. It was handled with sensitivity and respect, which isn't something you see always, and I hope BioWare continues this trend.
Continued Focus on a Personal Narrative
Again, I know this one's been pretty polarizing. Some people say DA2 lacked focus. I personally disagree. I saw the mage/templar conflict brewing in the prologue, and it was no suprrise to me where the game was leading. I also liked the exlusion of a Big Bad or Ultimate Evil. Instead the game focused on Hawke's reactions and influence on the people around him. It felt very personal, and I grew far more attached to Hawke than to the Warden or Shepard or virtually any cRPG character I've created in sometime.
It felt like Hawke had a life, like he had people who cared about him and who he cared about in turn. I loved the reactivity to his choices, particularly his LI. In Origins, Morrigan and Alistair seemed to draw the most attention from your other companions, Zev and Leliana less so. In DA2, it feels like your choice of LI matters no matter who you pick. Your mother, Aveline, Isabela, Varric, Gamlen, Sebastian, Merrill, and probably more all have something to say about it. This was great. It felt like they'd taken an interest in Hawke's life, like they really cared. Thus it made me, as a player, care more.
I also think the game handled the personal moments superbly. I was genuinely heart-broken at Leandra's death, particularly Gamlen's reaction to it afterward. It was also a great moment to see your LI come to comfort you. Again, their reaction made it feel like my choices mattered, and was something missing in Origins. When a human noble slaughters Arl Howe, for instance, there's no way to talk to one of your companions about what this means for you. But here your LI takes the iniative. It was a great moment and I hope to see more like it in the future, companions reacting to the PC's personal and family life.
A Continuation of Hawke's Story
I wasn't anywhere near as attached to the Warden as I am to Hawke. I feel like he's much more of a three-dimensional character, probably because of the family element and also in part to the voice acting. He's allowed to emote so much more than the Warden, I really related to him. I don't know what the writers have in store. I would definitely support a new PC, too, but I hope Hawke gets some more love, either with a sequel (Dragon Age 2: Two?) or a meaty expansion. And I hope his companions make it back, too. I know a few of them can die, but that's never stopped BioWare before.

1) Difficulty settings readjusted
2) DA2 auto attacks, DAO sync kills (I missed a lot being able to decapitate my targets)
3) If it is going to be divided in acts again, no more long act 1 short other acts. Also the fact that I made 14 levels in the first act was a lil too much.
4) More great characters like Hawke or Varric
5) No frigging DLC on release date
6) Same excellent facial expressions, but better fighting moves (especially the NPCs) and less "wave" fights
7) Please, no more "I've been in that cave 20 times" again. That was even worse than in some other games.
8) More dialogue only quests.. DA2 at some point didn't feel like an RPG anymore.. Choices didn't matter because stuff was going to happen anyway (then don't give me the illusion, just give it as a fact that the mages and the templars started fighting, but either let me try to be the viscount or flee, don't force me to side with them).
9)I know female dwarves are ugly, but there was none at all in DA2, am I right?
10) Merchants aren't vending machines D: Why did you remove their voice and dialogues? Some of them were interesting (I am not talking about Sandal and Bodahn)

* I would love to keep playing as Hawke. I like my wardens very much but I love my Hawkes. I'm much more attached to them.
* Keep the voice-choices. It's fun to switch around a bit and makes each Hawke have a different personality. I love that it isn't tied to morality, that it is a tone.
* Keep the dialouge wheel, I much prefer this to a list of choices to say.
* I like the new crafting system. I never bothered with bombs before but now I'm stocking up on them.
* Rival/Friend-system. This was such a great thing, it's really interesting to see a new rival side to a companion that you friended on the previous Hawke. It's more like you don't know them until you have seen both sides. Great fun, makes replays much interesting.
* I would love to continue with my Hawke and his/her LI traveling together. I would love to be able to introduce a single Hawke to a single Alistair in DA3. A girl can dream =) If that was possible I would play a new warden and not romance Alistair and keep Hawke single in the end as well. Ok, it probably won't happen but hey, we all should have some dreams. Perhaps the male Hawkes would like to get to know Morrigan?
* Companions living their own lives =) yes!! That was great! I love running into them and seeing how they interact.
* Please let me have some form of home. In ME I'm always very fond of my ship, here I love my new home.
* Keep the elves and qunari as they are. I like the new style.
* The caverns and areas are so pretty. I love seeing all the green ferns and that is isn't just brown. A bit less of seeing the same place, but they look so much better now. The wounded coast is great and I love Sundermount. The new outdoors areas are really really pretty.
* Framed narrative was great. I could see you keeping that in the future.
* Waves of enemies are quite ok, but perhaps not for every single fight. It feels less special then. Keep it for the more plotworthy encounters =)
* I prefer the fighting in DA2 to DA:O. And I prefer the new talent trees. Keep them or tweak them to your liking =)
* Hope to see Bodahn and Sandal in the next game =) I like those two and want to see how it goes for them.
Edit: spelling

Since Bioware is in the "we want to represent everyone" mode:
DA3: Midgets United (no dwarves... actual midgets inhabit a city) Where's the midget love, Bioware? Midgets were more accepted in medieval times.
DA4: Straight Out Of Compton DA goes to the hood. Dark skin the only option for the hero/heroine. Then maybe if they have a sibling, the sibling won't be as messed up as dark skinned Bethany was. Is that what Bioware thinks dark skinned females look like? REALLY?
DA5: Tokyo Rift Asian based. A rift opens up and the blight comes through. But knowing Bioware and how they stereotype, we'd probably have to eat animals but at least the rogue's martial arts moves would be awesome.
DA6: Attack of the Clowns. Everyone in the city is in clown makeup. I call dibs on the Joker. But where's the clown representation?

- Choices with consequences.
- The ability to change items on companions without having to have them in the party (Like Origins Campsite)
- People recognising you as being a damn mage.
- Remove wave combat, it was a horrible idea.
- Keep the new crafting system.
- Keep the party banter.
- Allow us to talk to our godamn companions outside of their side-quests, every other bloody game of Biowares has it.
- I don't mind the fast paced combat, but I hate the OTT death's (people exploding from swords etc.).
- More dialogue options on the wheel. It's always Nice/Helpful, Sarcastic/Persuasive and Angry/Aggressive, we need to have at least 5 at all times, then have the 6th being for questions etc.
- Less bugs.
- No cop-out endings to release DLC.
- Less plot holes and contrived plots.
- Less re-used areas (how on earth did you expect us to react to that one?!)
- Keep companions in their own areas, but don't make conversations limited to them.
- Make the dialogue wheel options more relevant to what they actually say... even the pic is misleading sometimes.
- Swords/daggers nead sheathes, shields need slings and staffs/bows should stay in hand. It looks silly floating on the back.

I want a Flemeth vs Morrigan main plot. And I also want my party to consist of main characters from Origins and DA2.

Very simple.
1). Ditch Hawke and the champion of Kirkwall guise.
I honestly don't see where it's going. I thought Dragon age was supposed to be about the Darkspawn and Grey Wardens. Playing the entire game in Kirkwall & surrounding areas was a terrible idea too. I hardly call it an adventure, it's more like an extended back story. The intrigue created by DA2 makes Hawke fit for a future companion (or Grey Warden!), but thats about it.
2). Revert to DA:O style Non-voiced protagonist with all the appropriate customization.
The old school RPG'ers will love this one. I don't see the point in creating gigabytes of short dialogue (crap dialogue at that!) when after the first play through, most people will just pump the the escape key anyway..! I'd rather sacrifice the dialogue and have more racial/social options personally, but that's just me. Also, the inability to choose companions armour, for me, took a huge chunk out of the game.
3). Tweak the gameplay.
The combat in DA2 is good, fast paced and aesthetically pleasing. However, it is far too reliant on waves of spawning mobs to make up for the lack of more durable enemy's. I would settle for a balance between DA2 & DA:O in this respect. There is a time and place for waves of mobs; for example the seige of Redcliffe - that worked. But to go about the entire game in DA2 with enemy's just appearing out of thin air, behind mages etc is ridiculous. In DA2 you loose that feeling of just scraping through a fight, instead it just feels like you are being overwhelmed rather than out skilled.
4). New story, new characters and new landscapes.
Bioware, you thought you'd get away with copy & paste dungeons and recycled content. You didn't. So lets hire a few more map designers shall we? Thank you.

Well I thought the game was but personally these are my issues with it.
1: Specialization and class choices add more dialogue.
I'm aware that it was implemented in DA:O & A and personally with all the variables already available and how little there were, I can understand why some were removed or are minute in the whole story.
But Origins had a lot of diverse races and background which were removed and killed some good dialogue, it makes this game boring and kills replay value.
Besides that, Rogues and Warriors are treated as the same class when a lot of high class citizens could probably be given more dialogue by making them paranoid of a rogue who could be a thief/assassin.
The only reason I replayed the game several times was due to story hinderances by bugs which still need to be fixed by patches.
2: Different maps for main quests.
Not to point out the obvious but using the same maps for all quests is really sending bad messages with either A) You're lazy,
you think we're stupid or C) you're milking the franchise.
I personally don't feel cheated but then again it's never nice to have to go through the same maps all the time, specially with main quests..
3: Better story.
I didn't like the amount of characters that were either in your face telling you hate this, hate that, there's just too much of it.
it was really weird also to witness the small scale of your accomplishments in the game.
For example, in the trailer you had hawke going in slow-mo to fight a horde of Qunari and standing at the top of a tower to be cheered by the whole of kirkwall while he raises his weapon in victory.
Which isn't in the game, You feel underwhelmed by everything you're doing as if it's all a chore and not a duty, it doesn't make the story flow well either.
4: More Ham und Fromage for the dialogue.
Ham and cheese is important in a game that's set in a fantasy setting and to be honest despite what anyone may say I feel that the female voice actress was the most talented with her dialogues since also her character model did her justice.
However when it came down to boldness I was impressed by the male Hawke voice actor specifically when the model gets to make gestures along with his dialogue and in a certain quest he eventually does give up great performance with a cockney like accent, can't spoil it but it's in there.
Well that for me are some of the more serious issues, the rest I can stand through mods.
