Quick spoileriffic question:
If I am NOT a mage, is there any way to strike a deal with Connor's demon in order to obtain the extra skill book she can give you? I know that Morrigan won't deal with her, and I highly doubt that Wynne would, so is it possible to have the Mage Circle send Jowen into the Fade to make the deal for you? Or do you not get that option?

Jowen is an option, actually, with the circle there, but as far as i know, you can't make a deal with the demon with Jowen...

I tried Jowan just to play as him once but he isn't even a good choice for this fight and him going into the fade personally didn't seem to change the arl's mind about what to do with him either...

No you need to be a mage and enter the fade yourself. How you enter ( circle or Jowan ) is unimportant.
