Hello all :wizard:,

I was wondering if it would be possible for someone to produce a mod that slowed combat speed down to levels similar to what we had in Dragon Age: Origins.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Dont thinks its possible without a tool set....plus DAOs speed was terrible u could make a cup of tea, read the paper, play fetch with the dog or kids..and still have time to come back and see ur chara move to auto hit...then u got time to sleep before your chara makes the axe connect with a mob

Well, we can adjust player/companion attack speed with save editor, what about enemies? Is the toolset required to change those value or are they in the 2da somewhere that we can tweak?

Someone made a mod that produces '2X Movement Speed':

So I was under the impression that the resources were available to create a mod that produced the opposite affect. It would be great if someone could make that happen.

Thumbs up for 20% slower combat animations. I just want to tweak it, not return to DAO or worse, NWN "stop motion". I really hope it is possible with 2DA tweaking, I know there are speed increase mods for Origins that where done this way.

The easiest way to have slow combat is to lower your frame rate to around 20. The new Nvidia driver doubled my FPS from 21-28 to 40-60 and I am finding combat almost seems fast-forwarded. Probably because I am used to the slower combat at slower framrates.

The combat needed a increase in speed, and for the most part the combat is better in DA2. But they overdid it, a slowdown of about 20% would be great.

Would it be possible to use the technique in the mod above (but in reverse) for this 'reduced speed' project?

Thanks in advance!

Actually, all it needed was an increase in how fast companions reacted; the combat animation speeds were fine.

@DLaren: Yes, doing the opposite with the combat animation speed will work; I'll do up a mod for that tonight and post it for people to use.

Hello again!

DayWalker03 were you (or anyone else) able to get this mod to work?

Thanks!
