After i finished the Act 2 quest Night Terrors", the Keeper gives me something and says it is an old relic and has a rare magic. But actually it is a piece of junk called "Tome of the slumbering Elders". I used the console to look for the item and found a version of it that is a general item....that does nothing. A Bug ?

Welcome to Thedas. Get used to getting junk or almost no money at all for killing strong monsters. If your lucky you get some good equipment you can actually use but in Dragon Age 2 you almost always get only some junk.
That's why there's a achievement for hoarding 100 souvereigns.

I got the 100 sovereigns easy. I just didn't buy anything. I used what I looted and that was it.

Same. That plus the money Bodahn brings at the start of Act 2 pushed me into Mogul territory.

equip the extra cash rune,buy the better drop amulet ask whats in it for me and dont pay the docks bloke, 100g is obtainable during the deep roads, quite often just before

I don´t care for the archievement. I was talking about a strange quest reward.

Never posted here before, but had to reply to this....
Yep that sweet dalish keeper, thinks that tome is so valuable, well sorry to inform her Bioware thinks it's junk LOL
Searched the inventory for that, thinking there will be a "use now" option, and there it is in the very frequently used junk drawer
