Heres a healing build:
Creation:
Heal > Greater Heal
Congrats, you're all set. Seriously.
Aside from the obvious talents, you'll also want to get Barrier and Arcane Fortress. Mind Blast and Stunning Blast is also very useful. I also recommend going into Force Mage for Pull of the Abyss and Gravitic Ring to buy you time for your saves to cool down. If you really want to go into Spirit Healer, just get Healing Aura, Group Heal, and Revive and nothing else.

I also got Second Chance and Vitality. An automatic +10 to Con and +40 to Health Regen is more than worth a single ability point.

Second chance is a complete waste unless you have an aversion to using Injury Kits or Elfroot potions. Vitality is a mere +50 HP and the health regen is nothing special. Again, Spirit Healer talents are terrible aside from group heal and revive, neither of which requires their respective upgrades.

By the end of the game, I had more abilities than I knew what to do with. There are just so many opportunities to get free abilities that Vitality is worth it. Combined with a Rune of Vigilance, it's an easy +17 Con. He can fill up the entire Spirit Healer tree and still have all the essentials by 20.

I am in Act 2 with a SPirit Healer (my Hawke) and if you are interested in knowing about it let me know in a PM. I was thinking of making a guide from my experience when I beat this playthrough.
