I was going to get dragon age origins for the most part either way but at this point I am so pissed off I could pretty much care less about the game.

I knew EA would have to find a way to make up for  the MYTHIC fail of warhammer  I just did not think after **** canning almost all mythic and puting bioware in charge that they would pull some thing like this to suck you into getting a CE.

Here is what I was faced with I go to game stop and I am pulling a bret fare on do I get a CE or a regular edition as the CE was 75$ and game stop had it the regular edition for 50$ then told me they would match a best buy price of 35$ so I am looking at a 40$ price dirffence.

I am looking at getting the guide and know I have to buy one DLC with the CE 2 with out it and if I go with the standard edition I can get the guide and bolth DLC's and have cash left over.

Now as many of us have done before it came down to what do I get in the CE to make it worth it.

WE all know the standard drill for most CE's ( at least from a MMO point) art book, music cd, and some in game fluff  (snooze time) but I look at the EA site where I was origanialy going to buy my DAO from and (see this look below official EA store list of CE items) I see some things that are not fluff that will help out a little some good in game items.

I look at the grimiore of frozene wastes where it say's" +3 to all abilities" well I was checking my friends game out (he got his on the 3rd) and know that you get 3 points per level for stats with a what looks like a level 20 cap by the guide that book would be like getting a free 6 levels of stats for me that made it worth the 40 extra bucks.
( hey I am a old PNP numbers crunching rules laywer got to have my stats)

Well I get home and come to find out it gives +3 points total (needless to say I blew up over this as +3 points is not worth 40$) so I call game stop and they refuse to refund my money, call EA and get a you just did not read it right, looks like my next call will be to my CC to charge back the game under a false advertising consumer fraud charge.

If their is some way to fix this I would sugest some one over at bioware or EA answer this post with a solution I might have to see what other avenues I can pursue under false advertising.

Here is the official EA store sales and info on dragon age origings CE copy and paste from site enjoy ( O ya I must have read it wrong  right?)

Okay, you've managed to paste in a bunch of code. Congratulations. Now calm down.

People love to throw around false advertising, but you have to anticipate the possibility of miscommunication. There's a certain amount of buyer beware that's always at play.

1) Cut and paste fail.

2) The grimoir does give +3 to all stats. Just not a on the same character. It does gve +3 and it does apply to all the stats. I personally wouldn't read it that way, but do you really think EA won't put that spin on it? You don't have a leg to stand on for a false advertising claim.

3) You are going ballistic over some stats in a game. For real. Take a deep breath and download some of the cheat mods if it hurts so much, you can add whatever stats you want. Did you REALLY expect a store to refund your money because your game stats aen't how you would like them?

Why would you want that many free attribute points anyway? The game will be too easy. If you want free stats justuse console code to get as much as you want.

I want to throw up on your face after seeing this topic.

Seriously. I'm ill and after reading yet another unreasonable whining post, crammed full of code no less, I feel it's time to empty my stomach.

What did you not understand, exactly? I knew from just reading the description that it would simply be a single +3 to all attributes item. I guess all those math abilities don't make up for your total lack of reading comprehension.

I feel you pain. I once got an e-mail from some Chinese herbalist that claimed his all-natural vitamins would add +3 to my dude bits. It turns out that it just meant +3 inches instead of actually growing three dude bits.

I was so disappointed, I lodged a complaint with my BBB. I suggest you do the same.

You all seem to miss the point I am pissed because I was told one thing and got something diffrent from what was said.

Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes: A special book that adds
+3 to all attributes when read.

They should have said a book that will allow you to put 3 points into a attribute or attributes of your choice,

I am sure the mass majority of gamers out their would have taken their quote on what the book did exactly as I did if they would have seen or read the EA discription of the item.

If I wanted to keep dealing with the lies and failure I would just have kept my warhammer account open and stuck to playing that.

After going through this I am realy having doughts about getting SWTOR liked to put the blame on WAR on the mythic door step now this? maybe EA had a part in the WAR demise after all, sending a E-mail to bioware about preodering bonus items 2 months ago with out a repsonse on a simple question? come on man.

Thank god their is a lot comming out the beging of the year, star trek online, DC univerese, mortal online. just need something to mess around with till diablo 3 come out.

I personally dislike these kind of items. Usually if there's anything like that on the game package I don't use them. It just makes the game easier.

Now then the +2% exp or whatever thing on AOC-ce was pretty good. :)

This is most definitely a troll, forumers. Doesn't even have a game registered.

I mean, who would honestly judge an entire game, or hell, a company, based on a stat increase? Pathetic.

However, he got some of you, so 6/10, would troll again.

You are saying that you are "numbers crunching rules lawyer", yet you accept the fact you can legitimately buy stats by paying extra money? C'mon, I fail to see how anyone can not think of this of cheap cheat... if you wish those points so badly open up console and add those points yourself, the effect will be the same - you destroy game balance (by the way, Dragon Armor does the same, it is ridiculous overpowered, equipping it before level 20 kills any dificulty).

It sounds like you just didn't read it carefully. It clearly says +3 to all stats when you read it.
