So, I think the new 'normal' Qunari are supposed to look threatening. It explains why everyone seems to fear them. Well. Besides the cannons, explosive powder, deadly gas that turns people against each other before killing them and the giant physique.

So Stens just a title right i was kinda hoping to Actually see the Sten but i think we Could of made them more threatening without horns, and with bigger armor i mean you see like 99% of the army are half naked how hard could they be to kill.Nialos wrote...
Sten is still hornless. It's said that Qunari born without horns are a rarity, and that they're destined for great things. They're usually used as delegates and ambassadors to foreign lands because they're more Human-like.

Sten is just a title, yes. Names in Qunari culture are used more as a Social Security Number.

So I take it you haven't dueled the Arishok yet.

There are other things as well. "Genlocks are the most common darkspawn." Not a one in DA2?

People seemed to miss the link between the Q and ogres. The explanation of hornless Q and adding ones with more ogre-like features is supposed to help bridge that gap. Yet, I don't see how the new Final Fantasy elves are supposed to resemble shrieks more.

Sten killed an unarmed farmer, his wife, and his children with his bare hands, not quite as impressive as it sounds.
Also, the Arishok is quite difficult to kill in a 1 on 1 match, though I will admit that every other Qunari in the game is pretty weak.

Well there's always the possibility of a larger revamp for shrieks that we've yet to see. Or maybe there is one and I just haven't seen it?

They never looked like shrieks to begin with, I thought, so I'm content with the new look for Elves. Less 'Human'. As for the Darkspawn, they're not a central feature for this game because of the Blight having ended. I doubt many ever made it to Kirkwall.

I thought after DA:O that the Darkspawn were important turns out that they were just fodder for a plot filler because in the larger scale of things the hero of Fereldan had no effect on DA2 save for a few sidequestsMalja wrote...

If you recall it's mentioned that usually only the Grey Wardens and the dwarves know about darkspawn. Unless there's a recent Blight. So with that in mind, I doubt they're supposed to be unsually important aside from events surrounding the Blight.
Personally, I'm glad the Warden didn't have such an impact on DA2. Kirkwall wasn't affected by the Blight aside from the vast amount of refugees after all.

Unlike previous blights, the 5th one was rather short... extremely rather short. If you blinked, you missed it. Urthemial must have been so vain that he was completely stupid or the disciple process scrambled his brains.Deadlysyns wrote...

Origins, in my original understanding, was supposed to be a prologue to the series. If that were true, DA2 would be DA1.
Instead, it seems we had Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening and Dragon Age: Kirkwall. (Probably should have been Dragon Age: Kirkwall instead of DA2. The title of DA2 lacks oomph compared to the title of DAO.)
