Hey
Okay, I'll try and cut a somewhat long story short. My original 60 GB PS3 broke and I replaced it with a 320GB. Naturally this meant playing DAO again so I could import that data. Unfortunately that PS3 repeatedly locked up just after I bought EVERY DLC avalaible on the PSN. So I send that one back and get it fixed, then repeat the process. The PS3 runs uber slow, but doesn't lock up.
So I saved all the data I could and reformatted the hard drive. Now I started to suspect that Origins was the problem since my system only started to run slow after I installed things. So this time I started with origins, installin gthe patch, then the game. And it started running slow straight away. Deleted the game data, things worked as normal.
Then I installed the game but did not install the patch data at all, and it works fine. So at this point I have two theories as to what's going on. Either installing the patch data before the game data was screwing up my system, or the patch itself is screwing up my system. I would rather not put the theory to the test myself however, so I wanted to check with the experts first. Needless to say I'd rather not have my PS3 lag horribly, especially after spending so much money at once to get all the DLC, and especially not while I have my signiture edition waiting for me to play.
Any help that can be given would be much appreciative.
A problem relating to the last PS3 Origins patch
