I haven't had the time to actually try this. But what if you import a save game where Anders DIED in Awakening?

In DAII, his a pivotal plot character because he blows up the chantry.

So if he died in your awakening import, does DAII:

ignore it?
if he stays alive, is it explained how?
.. or is he not in DA2 and someone else blows up the chantry (or does it even get blown up)?

No effect. Anders is part of the game, regardless... and it's not mentioned or explained.

I think there's a handwave of 'Justice kept him from dying' or something, although it doesn't mesh with the short story of how Anders came to be.

I believe DG also states that epilogues are somewhat nebulous- they're hearsay, and not fact.

I wish more decisions from Origins and Awakenings tranferred over.  Like decisons against Templars and such weaken there power and maybe make Mages play the role of the Templars.  It would be cool.

Also all the deals with the demons I wish would come back and play out sooner or later.

How does Anders die in Awakening b/c I didn't see a way for him too. Unless that is if you didn't upgrade the keep and left him there when the DS attacked while the WC was off defending Amarantine.

That's pretty much his 'death', since there's no other guarenteed way he might die.

I believe that it's implied that Justice stopped possessing Kristoff (the Warden he possesses during Awakening), and does a deal with Anders for joint possession of his body, like Wynne and her Spirit of Faith, as Wynne died and came back to life in the defence of the Circle survivors she found. Similarly, I believe the same thing happens to Anders. It's the only surefire way that Anders can be in DA2 without his death in DA:OA being considered.

The answer is a lot way simpler. It's revealed during the encounter with Nathaniel. It was all a setup to cover his tracks and finally be free...

In other words, the Epilogues were rectonned because they wanted to go in a particular direction, which explains how even non-Epilogue material is contradicted: Anders would have still met Justice for DA2 even if he wasn't recruited by the Warden-Commander and if Justice was killed by the Warden at the Dragonbone Wastes because of the decision to spare the Architect.

Justice is a "virtue" from the Fade. He was alive in the Fade before possessing Kristoff, in Awakenings. So even if he "died" in Awakenings, he would be Justice in the Fade. That said if Anders died in Awakenings, Justice could have still approached Anders and made a deal, so they could co-exist.

They are several issues with continuity, but in the case of Anders/Justice, Bioware has it well within giving codex entries and storylines for the combo to be in DA2.
