I hope they don't force us to re-join the Alliance in Arrival.

Er... Where did they say that, again? I'm new, as you can no doubt tell....

Miranda isn't a xenophobe. Just because she's Cerberus doesn't mean she's evil. Im Cerberus and I don't hate aliens (Garrus and Shepard BFFs!) but I sure hate does Batarians. Think we'll kill them all in ME3? I hope so.

@AileO: Really, they said that? Please, elaborate, seriously do.

Pwener, one thing  I hate about these message board things is the fact that you have to practically say the emotion/attitude your using. I meant the whole 'xenophobe' thing sarcastically. Basically, I meant that here we have Cerberus being painted as evil villains out to kill the Council, when one of the Alliance's now-top notch soldiers (probably working directly under either Anderson or Hackett) is clearly xenophobic. She tries to act like she isn't, but in the end she keeps going on about not trusting/hating aliens. Cerberus, on the other hand, might focus mainly on humans for recruitment, but recognized the need for more than one race in the Suicide mission.
AileO, I reiterate my request for this info. If I just doomed my soldier, I want to know.

Oh, well Cerberus isn't evil. They saved the council in Mass Effect: Galaxy (although my council in human exclusive so....). Even then, Ash is racist (hated her for it and let her die) and Cerberus saved the human race.

I really don't understand the hate everyone has for Cerberus. So they wiped out a few colonies in ME1, so what? They saved the human race from extinction, that seriously counts for nothing? Thay found a way to bring people back from the dead. They made the first ever "good" AI in our extinction cycle. They reproduced a better Normandy and even better.... they believe the Reapers exist and are willing to fight them, and that is *all* of them if the doc's conversation with Shepard in Overlord is any indication.

We owe Cerberus not just Shepard's life, but that of every human and probably the whole galaxy if they hadn't brought Shepard back. People really want to crawl back to the idiotic council? or the traitorous Alliance after abandoning everything Shepard said and did? What is wrong with everyone? Why not stay with a group that believes you, appreciates you and funds you? Cerberus may not be as black as white as the Alliance or the council, but that's the beauty of it. They are in the middle, and that's where they should be. Isn't Batman (yes, Batman) in that line for everyone else in Gotham when he started out? Cerberus may no be a bunch of saints, but they at least tried, unlike the council who dismissed everything, and the Allaince who abused of Shepard's specter status to benefit themselves.

Give Cerberus a chance. I hated them in ME1, but I understood what was needed to be done. Sometimes, the road that looks like the wrong path, is actually the right one.

Don't read too much into what I said. I was just making inferences based on the interviews where it is stated that your choices are being carried over. Just thinking that paragons may have hurt themselves by blowing up the Collector base, among other things.

The collector base won't be used against the Reapers. It's just to stablish human dominance. Nothing more. That's the metagame look anyway.

The way I see it, Cerberus follows this path: the good of the many outweighs the good of the few or the one. - Spock
Cerberus, I think, is the best organization for those of us who prefer an organization that takes action and will do what needs to be done.
And now I'm hoping we get the info from AileO. I want to see where they said that. I know I read it somewhere, but I can't remember, and a google search didn't help.
In regards to the ME1 stuff: I'd guess that was a 'rogue' cell. Anyone else find it odd that a high-ranking admiral was worried about a single team of marines? That combined with the info about Banes (Who I'd guess is Cerberus-related somehow), and I think maybe Kohoku wasn't quite as 'snow white' as people think. Besides, the Alliance covered up his death; so they can't blame it on Cerberus outside of 'in private' conferences.

So essentially speculation.

I am almost certain that decisions that Renegades, Paragons, Paragades, Renegons, and what have you will all have positive and negative effects on the outcome.  Or they should.

It should not just be well you went Renegade all the way through, you win... whoops you chose Paragon, you lose.  It should be well you let X live that will be good but you killed/destroyed Y, oh that will be very bad.

Yeah I always figured TIM wanted the Collector Base more for securing human dominance then actually fighting the Reapers.

Shepard says so himself. But it's not like there's anything wrong with a little human dominance. After all, it's our nature to be bullies like Liara said. It's what makes us strong.

See that is where I have a disconnect my Shepard sees that humanity needs to work with the galactic community, nothing good can come from human dominance.

In his mind.

Yeah, let's ally ourselves with the morons that almost doomed the galaxy. No thanks, humanity has done escellent so far, so no need to take chances when Cerberus has come through for us so far with intel and funding.

If I had to choose not to serve with Cerberus, I'd see if Liara was willing to be the new backer. The Alliance and Council are too busy playing politics. Besides, way I see it, they're just as bad as current U.S. politicians, who I favorably compare to a bunch of five year olds arguing over candy.

Humanity has not done excellent, Cerberus could not have even gotten the job done without relying on help from other species.  It will take a team effort to win.

No, it was Cerberus's idea and they put everything together. Who is considered the hero of WWII? America, even though a lot of other nations took part in destroying the ****s. Humanity destroyed Sovereign and a human has beaten the Reapers in every corner. Group effort my ass, you should know better (no offense intended).

Whoa, Goldwyn's Law wins again it seems.

Oh, you're one of those conspiracy theorists who like to believe the Alliance=Cerberus. Well, I don't buy it. I'm not gonna support Space ****s, I mean "Cerberus". Image IPB

Ooo ooo ooo! Sarcasm! I don't really know why though, since no one else is doing anything there's not really an arguement there...

You joking? The collectors have been HARD AT WORK ensuring the salvation of the human race!

Screw the Alliance and Cerberus. I'm with the Hierarchy, they know how to get stuff done (just read any of the old CDN entries on the conflict over Taetrus).
