Hmm, I never saw any scenes with Dog and Morrigan. There were a few with Alistair and Sten, but I don't think there was a single one with Morrigan and now he only does the solo "conversations".

Glitched, maybe?

It gets -very- annoying after a short while... and I've gone through every interaction with him that's possible.. and still the barking.

I hate it too. ****ing annoying. I'd be happy to mod it out of the game but alas I wasn't able to find a proper way of doing so. I doesn't seem to be party banter so I wasn't able to find it in the scripts there, I wasn't able to override the sound files either although that should be possible. I keep working on it but a blue post would be most appreciated. Until then I actually stop using the camp altogether.

Bark is a stupid word. Dogs don't say "bark", they say "voff" or "woff" or something like that! English people must have a strange way of hearing things. :S

From Middle English berken, to bark, from Old English beorcan. The word isn't supposed to emulate the sound. But that's hardly on topic, is it?

Right, okay you go and set up a camp in the woods, fields or whatever and take your guard dog with you. I will ensure, you, he will bark and will do it often. regardless if your good with dogs or not.

Too much barking! I agree with the OP, it's highly annoying. It needs to be toned way down in a patch or there's needs to be an option to turn it off. He barks over dialogue I'm actually trying to listen to at times.

Indeed, some things Wynne says almost makes me puke irl...well.. almost.

I'm a cat person myself, so ive never liked the dog at all, I never use him in battle, keep him at camp 24/7.
And yes, his barking is annoying, and wheter the word bark is supposed to emulate the sound or not, it is a silly word, but as are many others. I suppose the English language must be full of silly words, being the word-richest language in the world.
