Why is there some Much hate for DA2?

It's limited over the fence. Even more limited than ME2, and it was an action/RPG and this is supposed to be an RPG. All because of rushed development.
I do enjoy the game a really great deal, but we've never had a rushed development from BioWare before, it's just sad to take the KotOR2:TSL path. It had much more potential.
But I do despise the people who just rushes in to make comments like "This games sucks" without giving reasons for it.

That is why people are so disappointed.
I didn't hate it before I played it, I almost didn't buy it after I played demo however because it was so bad. And sure enough game was most disappointing Bioware title since neverwinter nights.

Didn't work that well with Awakening, so no thanks.

DA2 is a great game. It really is. But DA:O was way better, and it's hard to play da2 without making comparisons.
I'll grant that there are a lot of improvements to the ui that are welcomed. I welcome much of the streamlining. Even being able to customize companions' gear less is an improvement to me, as micromanaging so much gear is a pain. I like the story too, I think it plays out very well and am quite happy with it even if I prefer the "hub" style that da:o, me, and kotor used.
My issues are with things like how every fight is an ambush. Or a series of them. Seriously. It's fun once in a while, but it gets annoying quickly having to reposition so much, especially since they axed the isometric viewpoint. While the ui feels much improved to me, the combat feels much more awkward throughout, often even cheap. Teleporting assassins that do huge damage out of nowhere, gratuitous aggro drops, and interrupts being all too common.
</rant>
I still think it's a great game, it just doesn't live up to da:o for me.

THATS what this entire game reminds me of, all that made awakening bad, with none of what made DA:O good.

See, for me it's exactly the opposite. They took out all I hated about DAO and made it better. So who is right?

According to metacritic, not you.
And just to be clear it is exact opposite for me again. They took out all that was good in DAO and make it worse.

And I should care about the snakepit called Metacritic because? Everyone knows how "impartial" that place is and how skewed the ratings are. So do you have a point?

DA2 has gotten extremely good metacritic reviews. Not quite as good as Origins, but very respectable.
Oh, wait -- you meant the outraged reviews of angry users desperate to see their nerd rage vindicated by the internet? I wonder why I didn't count those.

It is still worst showing for bioware game ever unless you count sonic I suppose.
And few reviewers have given it 6/10 which is very low, do you not agree.
I am not talking about user scores you know.
Indeed metascore is almost as low as it is with awakening.

The fact is, people who hated the game feel the need to march to a platform and spew out how much they despised it and how much it betrayed their families and raped their mothers, and how much it spat on the last vestigages of the one true genre, and how it's not an RPG and a true RPG is never cool or flashy or fun. So it's off to metacritic they go.
Those of us who loved it? I could go and write a 10/10 metacritic score, except that metacritic is lame and pointless and the only people who won't buy a game because of user score on metacritic aren't people I give a crap about convincing, anyway.
Rage needs a platform and metacritic provides one. Love, on the other hand, is happy to sit around being douchey, trolling on the official forums. I got nothin to prove.

The professional reviews were fine. Most developers can only dream of such a critical reception. (Professional critics, that is)

So unless a game breaks 90, it's objectively crap? Wow.
Let me break it down for you. You're right, many reviewers didn't like DA2 as much as DA:O. Many players didn't like DA2 as much as DA:O. Also, many reviewers like DA2 better, as did many players.
I loved DA:O, I liked DA2 slightly better. You liked DA:O and didn't like DA2. Who is right? Neither. They're both objectively good games, and neither is objectively better than the other. The things that I like in a game? DA2 did better. The things that you like in a game? DA:O did better.
Haters seem to take offense to the idea of subjective quality, despite the fact that it's a pretty age old concept. I'm perfectly happy to say that there are things that each game did better, than the things that DA2 did better are things that mattered more to me, personally. But haters? NO EVERYONE MUST HATE IT LIKE I DO OR THEY ARE WRONG.

That is just not fair, I am in these forums now a little because I didn't like the changes Bioware made to dragon age 2. Thus I am complaining here so that my voice it at least heard by bioware, just in hopes they change it to the better next time. I think it is perfectly reasonable thing to do. And wouldn't you do exactly same thing if you had problems with some of the changes?
I don't whine in metacritic either, I whine here. Much better change to make some difference.

It is indeed objectively bad for bioware. Bioware is fairly famous from the quality of their games. Laidlaw even said in some interview that they try to get metacritic score to about 90. And they expected higher score for DA2.
So yeah low 80 is fairly bad for them.

Gala, the point is this: I have no problem with constructive, reasonable criticism. Bioware is looking for that too. What I have a problem with is hate spewing. You're not doing that, you say. Good for you then.

The way you make it sound is like they got a 40-50+ rating. 80+ is an excellent score, especially with a game that broke out of the "Defeat an ancient evil" mold and took many risks. (Some of which backfired while others paid off IMO)

And this is the first reasonable thing you've said, not relying on metacritic scores and someone else's opinion to prop up your own.
But the fact is, I don't agree with you, and there are lots of other people who don't agree with you. And there are, indeed, lots of people who DO agree with you. So you have your right to sit here and say it's bad in an effort to get things changed back to a superiour precdent, and I have my right to sit here and say that it's good in an effort to have things NOT change back to an inferiour prequel, and we have our right to argue about it.
Your opinion is lazy and lame when your summary is "METACRITIC AGREES WITH ME." Get your own opinion.

Alright, but you should practise that some since you seem to have a problem with every single point of criticism that anyone have about the game.
