No, it's not a medical condition. :?

When I fire up my interior area to run through it for testing some of the models have wierd and random patterns of dark 'scar' like things on them. I'm not sure what's going on at all, it's really bizarre.

See these screenshots: http://img684.images...09111703001.jpg

It's not there in the Toolset.

Could be a mapping error on the part of the light map generator. I had some issues with the fci tileset today. My floor pieces all had the same scared shadowed along one side. I deleted and replaced them. errors gone. Same thing on my book shelves. I copied all the shelves and deleted them, then pasted them back in to see if the errors would stop. Rendering right now. We'll see.

Your's seem different from mine. Perhaps you don't have enough lighting in the room?

I guess I could try the deleting thing. Something tells me it might have something to do with my lightmapping taking nearly an hour on maps with FHI models in them. How long does yours take?

Also I would think that the light should be okay, since the biggest scar is sitting DIRECTLY under a lightsource. Still, I'd be curious to know what light intensity you use for your areas.

Sounds like lightmap cracking.  If you would, please post reproduction steps on this talk page.  The more detailed info we can get to BioWare the easier it will be for them to fix.

I have had similar problems but it is usually fixed by posting to local and then turning the Lightmap rendering off and on again. I'm not sure why posting to local influences this.
