So, I've finally finished my epic playtrhough, and there are a few things that I'm still curious about (besides the obvious, "What is Flemeth/Sandal", Where are the Warden/Hawke and why are the Seekers looking for them" type of questions):

1. What happened to Ella (the mage rescued from Ser Alrik and Anders), presuming Anders didn't kill her?  I'll be honest, her story and the letter she sent me at the start of Act 3 were one of the driving forces behind my decision to side with the mages at the end.  Several of the other mages I had spared or rescued were there in the Gallows, but Ella was not.  I am presuming the Templars killed her but it would be nice to know for sure.

2. How old was Fenris when he got the lyrium brand, and how old is he when you meet him? And how far do the tattoos go? *cough*

3. Did the piece of the idol help Bartrand?  There never seemed to be a conclusion to that.  I have a bad feeling it was a poor decision on my part, but Varric was one of my most loyal friends so I trusted his judgement.

4. Is being a mage considered to supercede a person's species to the point that it makes them a separate race?  There were several mentions by mages of choosing or defending "their people" which made me wonder.

5. Is Merrill right, that there are only 'spirits' and not good or bad ones?  The demons certainly seem to embody single aspects of mortal experience only, and ones which tend to be negative and destructive; Justice (pre-Anders) embodied law; but Wynne's spirit friend embodied...life?  Second chances?  It didn't seem hostile or harmful in any case.  Is the danger inherent in all spirits, or only in mortals colluding with them, empowering them or allowing the spirits to possess them?

6. Why Bianca?? :P  Stop being coy Varric!

1. didn't her letter answer that? I think she escaped.

4. "pharao, let my people go" jews a different species?

5. it depends on what you believe. Anders believes the Chantry point, that Demons are evil and can be classified as such. Merrils thinks different.
Wynnes Spirit was Faith (many believe). I wouldn't call Faith and Justice automatically "good". Spirits and Demons seem to live in a Black/White world, and that doesn't work in the real world. So imo, yes, Merril is right. Having no problem in dealing with a Spirit but blaming others for dealing with a demon is an odd way of doing things. Both can be dangerous to humans. But as seen with the Templar in the Circle Tower, Desire Demons can do "good" things.

Imho, Merills right - there are no good spirits.

The thing in Wynne is a desire demon - those, as can be seen in the circle, hunger for human feelings and experience first and foremost, so it got exactly what it wanted.

Now Justice, justice is a very, very clever Rage demon. He got out of the fade, without people going after him. He got a powerful mage to be his willing host. He got to unleash a war that will kill tens of thousands of people, and likely mage mages conjure up hundreds of demons in desperation. Someone is definitely in line for a promotion, once he gets back to the fade.

Sorry, I was unclear about Ella. I advised her to go back to the Circle, and the letter she sent me was at the start of Act 3, saying that she was ok, but scared, as were many of the templars. I was wondering what happened to her at the end of Act 3, as when I was in the Gallows readying for the big last battle, Emile Du Launcet and Alain (Grace's ex-compatriot) were there as well, as was Bethany, but no Ella. I had hoped I could save her from the Templars too.
