Isn't Isabella so....

#1. Edit or remove her lip piercing. I don't mind that she has it, but the current texture makes it look a little too close to her skin tone, so it looks kind of like a bizarre-looking mole.
#2. Fix her skin tone... her face and her arms and chest don't quite match, and it's distracting. If the rest of her skin was the same as her face, I'd be totally happy.

I'm about start my second playthrough now and am wondering how I am going to bump up her friendship without flirting. I'm a little worried about it actually.

Isabella has the best lines. I think she is the best companion character Bioware has ever produced. Certainly the funniest, but quite dramatic with an interesting back story as well. All the elements of the character (art, writing, voice acting) meshed perfectly.
As much as I like her, I'm gonna assume you've never played Baldur's Gate?
Minsc is not easy to beat out for funniest.

If only Isabela went for the eyes.
It's a little annoying only Hawke really speaks about eyes at any point, and even it's when asking about a location of someone.
Isabela has a tendency of making whoever else you brought along to be absolutely awesome for the party banter. Varric, Merrill and Aveline were probably the best ones ("You stick your thumb up his ***, I win" literally made me laugh).
So yes, who was I to say no to a lovely pirate girl who has the wit to go with the looks, and the skills with blade to back up the wit and to defend herself.

It's pretty disappointing how many DLs that mod has gotten. It reminds me of the mods to change CJ (from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas) to white.
A lot of white people just cannot deal with having to interact with anyone of darker shades in any instance. Even while this game and the majority of other CRPGs are tailor made to have white/european as the default look, they can't expand their horizons (or at least move on without complaining) for just a tiny bit.
Oh. And don't get me started on how many people would romance an Alien over Jacob in ME2.
No, it is not disappointing. The majority of people who play games like this are white people. White, heterosexual males, to be specific. By the fact that this mod got so many downloads is evidence in an of itself that we dont want to be force-fed the only human female to be non-white, which is what it was.
The entire romance options in this game is either homosexual or interracial, in any form or context with perhaps the exception of Anders, but with what he does in the end it doesnt make it anymore compelling. Those who downloaded that mod wanted a human white female, not someone made out to be something that they really were not, even from the first game.
Bioware has an agenda - to force feed changing societal standards on what is considered "out-dated social norms" concerning race and sex.
To those that support that - **** you. It is not racist to be with your own kind.
By the mere fact that you call it racist for those who want that shows that you yourself are the racist ones because you cant call anything racist without acknowledging that your race is already different than the one your calling racist in the first place.
Your nothing but damn hypocrites. Shut up and go away.
I once had to do a term paper on white nationalist groups, and this post reads like some of the stuff on those sites. Sad.

agreed. It's very, very hard to make a black character in DA:O (and DA2 to be honest) in the CC that doesn't look like a white person with a tan. The sliders for facial shaping require a lot of poking if you want something other then "default white dude."

Dunno... I found her instantly repulsive. I have an aversion against women who use their female charms to manipulate people, and complain that they get reduced to them at the same time. Both things are present in her very first cutscene.
I think she’s supposed to appeal to the Sex and the City fanbase.
Yes. Isabela is meant to appeal to women 40+. WTF?
No, she is meant to appeal to camp gay men.

At the beginning of Act 2, the first time you speak with her in the Hanged Man, there's a chance to flirt.
It nets you +25 friendship, but you have to take the hit if you want the rivalmance.

Do you know how her rivalry path is different from her friendship path? I know the romance isn't substantially different, but I never really got a feel for what the two paths actually meant in Isabela's case.

Judging from what I've seen in the LS, the rivalmance with Isabela means Hawke is an insufferable bore.
Aw, **** that.
I guess Isabela and Varric are really easy to befriend, because rivalrying them means you have to have no idea how to have fun? Actually, I can think of someone who might do that by accident.

Actually, she was talking about ensuring they have a time and place to ******. You know, so they don't get all pent up.
If you've ever seen say, Master and Commander or another age of sail type movie, you'd notice right away that privacy doesn't typically exist on such craft. So Isabela goes out of her way to give her crew... you know what time.
