You get rivalry from being a shining paragon of justice, goodness, and right, and suggesting she might try to be the same. Or at least not being so eager to sell out her friends for coin, ships, and the like.ishmaeltheforsaken wrote...
Do you know how her rivalry path is different from her friendship path? I know the romance isn't substantially different, but I never really got a feel for what the two paths actually meant in Isabela's case.
Isn't Isabella so....

Huh. That's how I was, and she was all "FRIENDZIES" with me
It's possible that I just didn't put myself in enough situations with her, though.

Aw, **** that.
I guess Isabela and Varric are really easy to befriend, because rivalrying them means you have to have no idea how to have fun? Actually, I can think of someone who might do that by accident.

1) You can only get up to 40 rivalry in Act 1
2) Flirting with her once in Act 2 nets your +25 friendship
3) Her Act 2 quest is the one where she leaves unless you have high enough rivalry or friendship
As far as I can tell, you can only rivalmance her if you take her to the Fade. Otherwise, she'll leave at the end of Act 2 and not return.

"Got that 'good hair', too."
"Like what?"
"I like girls with that light complexion on 'em."
"You're a moron."
"I can't help it."
"What? Being a moron?"
"Yeah, that too."
"You're the first one of them with a dashiki talking that crap."
"I'm a victim."
"Good hair... N**ga, you're so brainwashed."
"I'm a victim, brother."
"A victim? "
"A victim of four hundred years of conditioning. "
"Shut up."
"'The Man' has programmed my condition."
"Mmhmm..."
"Even my conditioning has been conditioned."

Ooh.. and it's so difficult not to forgive her for betraying you in the Fade. It's ironic that that forgiveness can actually get her to leave forever if you've been otherwise rivaly.

Yeah really racist turning her from a Southern European skin tone to a more Northern European skin tone.Maybe if you are a national socialist that has "racial" motivations.
So are the "races" in question here Mediterranean and Scandinavian?
I am really sick of Southern Europeans being discriminated against.
Well there may be a little to that if you are Irish or Italian and it seems every game or movie with an Irish or Italian character always puts them as a mobster or a cop on the take by the mob.

They are not they just get lumped in with Italians in every mob movie. The gangsters are always Italian or Irish. The Jewish gangster are heavily underrepresented.
