one of the gifts i returned to fenris has no "i just want to be friends" line when i turn it in.

i can either flirt with him going with the "heart" line

or i can be a jerk with one of the other lines.

i suppose a ****** poor choice that blatantly leaves out the option to be a nice friend is still a choice right... or we could just call it what it is, bad game design.

i shouldnt be forced to be a jerk not to be in a relationship with someone.

I don't know, I was just being a smartass, I honestly don't remember that particular quest hand in, there might be a better option.

Is it a gift you find (which means you can't choose not to do the quest once you pick it up when looting) or one you can buy in a store? I'm guessing the former?

You know Fenris doesn't jump you just because you flirt with him that one time ^.-
so you could see it as harmless flirting between friends.

or you could see it as poor choice options! I for one would rather see what m pc is going to say than have them say something so off keel, that i am left with a wth? I tried to sympathize with sister and said something cold. Despite the lil wheel indicating it was diplomacy... Ummm , mb it w orked great in ME but... i was left wondering here. still wasnt a game killer issue, but ... off.
