With that being said in the title is their anyway of gaining this back up. Merril is a confusing little girl to me and i need her on Freindship for her Blood Magic Passive. But everytime i destroy a book its + 10 Rivalry... Not to mention the like +30 Rivalry when u have to kill the Keeper to do her personal quest for the Mirror.. anyone know any better options for that quest as well. if so let me know

Leave Merrill at home when doing the tome quest. She disapproves because those tomes have the knowledge of blood magic. Merrill is a blood mage, thus she doesn't want the tomes destroyed.
furthermore, Merrill will only have a rivalry increase after you kill keeper marethari only if you pick the wrong conversation options. Pick the right ones and it goes up towards friendship.

You could just not take her along when destroying the tomes, Merril is a very weird character to approach, I ended up with the rivalry path for her because I didn't agree with what she was doing, but it broke my heart to make her sad, she's just so.....puppy-like? It's like Flemeth implied, her eyes are shut from reality.

You can fairly easily get to 100% friendship prior to her personal quest and the evil tomes, this will lock her at 100% friendship. The alternative is not to have her in your party when you read the tome.

I was kinda looking for a way to do it with her because she is my main character towards setting up and exploiting CCC's she's my main dps in the game tbh... Me Staggering for Chain Lighting Isabela Disorienting for Stonefirst/Walkingbomb/ and other exploits in Spirit tree. so without her my party is kinda useless. Playing on hard and i dont want to down the difficulty just to do this quest

Choose “She was stupid” instead of “You weren’t listening”. Basically, never blame her for anything she does and support her decisions to gain friendship.

What KBomb said. You have to support Merrill. Any comments supporting Marethari or insulting Merrill will cause the rivalry path.
If you don't want to lower the difficulty setting. I suggest still leaving Merrill at home and bringing along Anders and setting him up to be your healer. Yes you won't be able to use your cross class combo's, but you will survive the battles against the beasties. After you finish destroying the 5 tomes, you can bring Merrill back into your party for the final part of the quest.

It's because Merril is a Blood Mage remember?
It's like taking candy from sweet little girl

it actually has more to do with Merrill's staus as a First of her Keeper and the preservation of all knowledge regardless of good or evil. Merrill is first and foremost an archeologist and historian. Being a blood mage is meerly a means to an end for her. Once again the lies have altered the perception of what a blood mage can or can not choose to be or is.

Merril thinks demons are spirits >.>, I wouldn't even wanna bring her into the Fade cause you just can guess she's gonna accept the pride demons' offer.
