The Warden stopped the Blight by killing the Archdemon. The Blight lasted one year. ONE.
Hawke needed 10 years to destroy Kirkwall rise to power and fight like a spartan.
... Do you really think that the Warden would sit on her ass and do nothing at all for 10 years? Hawke has no chance.

Edit:
My Warden: lvl. 35 dual-wielding rogue (for a change xD)
My Hawke: lvl. 25 ninja-space-time-monkey-rogue.... <_<

My Warden: Lvl 35 Dual Wielding Rogue
My Hawke: Lvl 25 Rogue Archer

Seems pretty obvious who would win in a duel ;)

Maybe he watches tv all the time and eats lots of fast food during those 10 years?

Well my warden was a female elf, and my hawke was female, i think they'd both just get it on, gangbang with leilana and that pirate chick.

Considering Hawke and my Warden are cousins (Yes I got it right for once) I'd have to say a drinking contest would be the only duel going on.

Well my mage Warden (who I guess would actually be... is it spoilers? Maybe...) would lose to mage Hawke in terms of speed of attack and attack skill, but she'd have more spells at her disposal.... and really when we're talking mages, you only need one spell to pwn hard

Mana Clash. End of this.

My warden is an arcane warrior / spirit healer / battlemage. Hawke doesn't stand a chance. Hell he could probably kill an army of Hawkes by standing still and draining aura them to death.

What would be the point? It sounds like the basis for one of those lame fighting games.

If we assume same level of 25... Warden. The powers were just so much stronger. Cone of Cold alone could win the fight. Not to mention near perfect spell resist... yeah, it's no contest.

It depends on what game machanics we are talking about. If the warden goes to DA2, Hawk would win. If Hawk went to DA:O Hawk could not touch my warden, was a dodge tank.

but it will be 4 vs 4.. Hawke can summon his dog if he is losing.. Warden cannot :)

And Warden can kill the dog in one cut.

And it was actually -JUST- Hawke and the Warden.

But if you want to do 4vs4, then I'd put Wynne with the Warden, and he'd never die because she can heal much more rapidly than any of Hawke's companions.  Then Alistar as an unbeatable tank who if you decide to ignore will put too much damage on you to keep turning your head, and Morrigan to keep cursing you.

As well, My Warden can summon a bear mutated by the Blight, which is much stronger than Hawke's Mabari.

Until you do the shield glitch with Aveline and give her 10k armor...then shes the unbeatable tank and with giving her elemental aegis and all her damage resistance traits and then the shild from Anders which gives all party members 40% magic resistance in each category and I'd say  avelines the unbeatable tank...

And Avelin will be hitting something about 10-20 damage, while Alister can upload a very nice amount of damage. No chance for Avelin in this combat.

That really depends. Any of my warrior wardens would probably get schooled, my blood mage would win if he got the first shot and die if he didn't, my rogues would probably be go back and forth unpredictably, and my arcane warrior would probably yawn, not even noticing there had been a fight.

Ahahaha, this topic is like those two guys at Amaranthine inn - What do you think, who'd win? Andraste or the Archdemon?
-Archdemon!
-But Andraste can call on the Maker!
-That would be cheating!
-Are you saying Andraste's a cheater?!
-Well, she cheated on her husband!

Oh dear, can't stop laughing - silly topics.

Pff.

Hawke wins, regardless of companions on either side.

Why? Darkspawn taint. Hawke just has to kite the Warden for the next 20 or so years.

That might seem like a long time to kite, but remember at least 19 of those years will pass in a cutscene.

Considering this is Warden after Awakening, a rogue warden or a warden with any rogue can also do the areal backstab.  It was in DA:O-A first :)

I wouldn't consider it that. If it were after Awakening, he wouldn't have any of these characters in his group. He'd be stuck with the B-Team. Or even worse, the Witch Hunt C-Team.

At a similar level range at the end of their first stories is where I'd call it based on who's involved.

Okay.  Then in that case, Hawke only has Aveline and either Bethany or Carter (if I didn't get the name wrong) and is very unexperienced.  Because if the Warden has not gone through Awakening, Anders would not even be in the scenario, Hawke would be very weak and unexperienced and have crap for a team, and would very easily lose to Alistar, Wynne, Sten, Morrigan, or really whoever the Warden chose to bring.

And, after Awakening, he would still have Oghren, Zevran will agree to travel with you again at the end of DA:O, Alistar is still alive and could fight if he wanted, Wynne is doing her own work but could be put into play.  The only one who really wouldn't be available is Sten and Morrigan.. and maybe Shale, because he's busy killing pigeons.

And there's another point, if it were before Awakening, Shale would just crush them all.

Warden killed an Archdemon, defeated
countless golems, werewolves, demons of the highest calibur, tore
himself out of the fade itself and defeated the greatest general in all
of Ferelden. Not to mention he defeated Flemeth (potentially, depending
on what you did). Warden is by far the superior warrior.

Really good point.  Hawke basically pissed himself when he saw Flemeth, The Warden laughed... well, I laughed, as I stabbed her to death.

And the Archdemon is much more than just a High Dragon.  If not, the Blight wouldn't have made every Fereldan ****** themself.

You got to think of the differences of what the two heros did.  Anything Hawke did can be done in The Warden's sleep. An entire army of Darkspawn, a resurrected God, a very skilled Antivan assassin, the best general in Fereldan, a demon of pride, all didn't even phase The Warden.

Well the first time Hawke saw Flemeth, she was in dragon form, and she came out of nowhere in a blaze of fire and laid waste to everything on the battlefield.

The first time the Warden saw her, she was a frail old lady living in a shack.

But the Warden did seem to accomplish killing more "bigger baddies", the Archdemon being at the top - but the Warden had an entire army to help with it. I think Hawke would have more credit for defeating the fricken' Arishok of the qunari in a 1v1 duel than the Warden would get by defeating Loghain.

I think the Warden would probably win (with cheats, "warden senses are tingling"), but it would be a good fight.

Stopping you at the second paragraph: And then she went dragon on The Warden, and when he got back to camp, he realized how imitation Dragon Meat was actually about as good as the real thing.

And, the army was slaughtered by the archdemon. If you notice in the cutscene where you use your butterknife to cut a slice of the Archdemon, there is no army around, they are all down in the city.  The Arishok would cry at the sight of The Warden.

My "hero of ferelden" was a kniving, backstabbing, lying, cheating, opportunistic, muderous, vengeful, thieving **** and or whor* . She in fact was also a blood mage lol, that adventure playthrough was definatly "a one of a kind" experience.hehe . All that said , she was in fact damn powerful. Now to my current mage in 2. very good attacks. but unfortunatly my "warden" could honestly talk her out of the equipment she was wearing. Trick her (hawke) into turning her back on her (for whatever reason) then stab her square in the back with her arcane warrior sword ( yes she had one ) then more than likely look around see the nearest templar, run over to them and make up some bs story about how a blood mage killed the champion ( mind you the warden still has the bloody sword in her hand )and utterly convince the templar that a blood mage is on the lose. The templars then get an entire calvalry and go after said blood mage. The warden just cracks a smile to herself and goes about her business .

In short My "female hawke" mage wouldnt stand a chance against my "female grey warden " mage.

here is the number one reason ..
22 points allocated to cunning score --plus--
Maxed out ranks in persuasion = biggest silver tongued bullsquatter on fereldon.

With that setup I may have failed one persuasion attempt in the game. lmao.
