I want to be able to just roam around and go where I want, why cant we do this? After beating the game players should be able to continue and do any side quests not finished.
Why cant I keep playing after beating the game?

A true RPG is never over, and from what I have seen with this game there are quite a few side quests still lurking about as i am on my fourth playthrough. I just want to keep travelling around killing things and stuff, ive even got tons of gold over 240g had nearly 300 but just spent some.

Well, all signs indicate that the DLC's for this one will mostly be about continuing Hawke's adventures so eventually you will be able to play after the end but right now, after defeating Meredith and Orsino, there's not really anything left to play.

A true RPG is never over? Most RPGs stop at the end, as opposed to contunuing. Usually ending make big changes to the game world and have an air of finality, just like DA2 does.

Well.. you kinda disappeared at the end. So.. you can't really go back to Kirkwall and continue to 'roam the city'. ;P

Exactly.
It's sort of like a book. It ends when it's finished. If you like the story you re-read it. These are even better becuase you can be different characters.
Not saying I don't enjoy games like Morrowind and fall out where I do wonder around after finishing the main quest, but it's not a necessity and the way BioWare games work I perfer that they have an actual ending.
BioWare games have a lot of good conversations and once the game is over, the conversations die up. Much better to just start a new game. IMO
