Im on the last straw quest and im up to the part where I see a blood mage, who is summoning an army of shades and well as a massive ogre looking creature, Ive got Isabela, Anders (Healer but sucks cause only one heal spell) and Aveline as well as dog. Ive died 3 times trying to do this and I only have 7 poitions left because the Ogre keeps casting a spell which takes down the charatcers hp like 25% per second any tactics to help me, ive done this before on my rogue but then I had like 112 poitions.
The Last Straw (spoilers) HELP!

I survived this by concentrating most of the fire on the main baddie and having one rogue go around picking off the extras who pop up.

Is that the encounter with a pride demon? If so the biggest threat in that encounter is the pride demon's screw-you spell: as soon as you see a blue circle apearing on the ground, get the hell away from there.
Strategy for that encounter shouldn't be that different from any other encounter. What worked for me was this: Have your tank - Aveline in this case - keep the attention of the all the enemies through taunt. Isabella can use things like Armistice and goad to help with that. Then mop up all the wraiths first - when they'll all surrounding your tank, you can quickly mow through them using scatter, fireball, and other AOE abilities. Focus on the pride demon last.
If you have a lot of trouble with the pride demon itself; I find that sticking debuffs from the entropy line on him seriously lowers how dangerous he is.
