I really like Sebastian, he's my second favorite companion (Carver is my favorite). I really like the portrayal of the turmoil he faces when he must choose vengeance for his family and fulfilling his vows to the chantry. He was also the perfect level of wisdom and brash youth, a solid character, kudos Bioware.

I'm fine with the whole chastity thing. Kissing would be nice, but if he atleast gets a hug or holds Hawke's hand, I'm happy. :D

He touches her shoulder before proposing marriage.

I like Sebastian, although more like a rival than a friend.

I really liked Sebastian. I totally agree with everyone who thinks he would have been the best romance if just for a little bit of physcial contact. I mean, sure i would have preferred a full on sex scene even more :)

He is the most physically attractive, his Prince background is the most romantic, he is a good and devout guy at heart but he not scared of waging war if someone upsets him (like Anders).

I don't really understand wjhy everyone is so upset about him being DLC because he isn't really DLC, he is pre-order content and everyone could have pre-ordered.

Sebastian's character is a very complicated one, but also fairly simple. He has a dedication to the Chantry, but he also knows that he's a mortal man who isn't above sin. I dislike that he flies off the handle in the end, after all the work I put into making sure all of my companions got along, but I do understand the reasoning behind it. It's a little like Keldorn and Viconia in BG2, actually.

I enjoy Sebastian. He's got a lot of depth, even though he didn't get a lot of development time. I would kill for a 'taking back Starkhaven' DLC.

I love the "flying of the handle". It only shows that Elthina is right about him when she says there's still the impulsive and hot-headed boy he used to be under the outward calm demeanor. I wonder, if that's the reason why he prefers life at the chantry, it's easier to keep your nasty side in check in such an environment.

Or maybe I'm just over-analyzing things. :D

Still a great character for a DLC.

Actually, you may have a point there. While Sebastian is very reserved, he does tend to tie into it with Anders on principle, and Elthina can even tell that Anders has a lot on his mind, and tries not to antagonize him, but help him. He hasn't learned how to shut up yet, and he can be pretty impulsive, I agree.

Hm, food for thought.

Any man with convictions is going to get me. Also the reason why I romanced Anders.

But Sebastian gets so delightfully flustered when you flirt with him. "Um, I think I need to pray. A LOT." I laughed and kind of did an "awww" noise. I was briefly ashamed of myself.

Actually, Sebastian will fit with the rogue play through I have planned. She's the "bad girl" of the family, but ends up embracing the ideals the chantry, giving up her wild ways. If there were an option to join the chantry at the end of the game, this character would do it. I was going to have her initially flirt with Sebastian, and then fall for him. He simply fits with her story of redemption.

I think flying of the handle at the end is something Sebastian has in common with Alistair <3 When ye can choose to spare Loghain. But in DA: O for me it was easy to kill Logain for all the crap he put my Cousland Warden plus it resulted in that awsome beard named Duncan to die so off with his head.

But this time around it was harder for me to kill Anders and I was friendmancing Sebastian. In the end I choose to kill Anders not because of vengeance but to put Anders out of his misery and I gave him mercy from what people would do to him because he blew up the chantry. From Sebastian point of view Anders killed the grand cleric a woman he considered a mother, so I think people would understand the way he flyed of the handle if ye spared Anders....

Ye know he has so much in common with Alistair that it's scary >:3

My Hawke couldn't either but the heartbroken look on his face when you turn him down all most made me reconsider. There wasn't much emotion behind the proposal but his reaction when you say no showed me that he really meant it.  I bet you he thinks about Hawke at night like Anders does.

Ehh...I don't think I would agree to the lifestyle he was asking for simply to spare his feelings (and after all, he certainly won't change his lifestyle for you).  Hawke isn't even mean when she declines the offer--she says, "this is sudden..."  which is absolutely true.  I'd  like to make it clear that it's not just the proposal itself that made me cringe, it's the context.  True to what Aveline said in that scene, he probably didn't even think to ask Hawke about what she wanted.  There should be some honest discussion and buildup before making that kind of exhortation.

And for the record, while the rivalry version didn't stun me the way the friendship version did, I still didn't like it or find it romantic.  The tone of the dialogue doesn't suggest that Sebastian dearly loves Hawke so much as he thinks it would be politically advantagous to forge an alliance with her.  On the whole, this "romance" strikes me as bloodless (in the emotional sense) and inauthentic on a number of levels (and please, I know for some people it's satisfying but remember that I'm sharing my opinion and impressions).

You probably didn't intend this, but that reads a little like damning with faint praise.

Honestly, I think all of the romnces were lacking buildup.  It seemed that it went from, "gee, you're pretty".  to someone moving in with you.  For me, the DA2 style was a complet disappointmet.  I can't blame Sebstian for this.

Hawk - you should be prince
Seb - I think I'll stay in the chantry
Hawk  - Starkhaven's loss
Seb - Let's have a chaste marriage!!!!
WTH kind of wrighting is that?

Still, at least the other romances have more of a plot, come to a conclusion that makes sense, and are acknowledged elsewhere in the game by other characters.  From what I understand, whatever relationship you have with Sebastian basically occurs in a vacuum.  Again, this isn't me trying to bash the character so much as expressing shock over how poor his romance is (although to be fair, I get the impression that he was never meant to be more than a tease).  It asks for quite a lot investment/sacrifice on the part of the player (for example, you can never flirt with anyone else, even three years before he joins your party) and results in basically no payoff.
