Agreed.
And OMG, not even Sebastian related, but I'm flipping over this http://i1184.photobu...30/img034-2.jpg right now. Not only is Kaidan coming back as a squaddie, he looks so much more delicious in that alliance armor. And helloooooo, shotgun. It's a good day.

If he doesn't make a solid decision, he's not responsible for it. He needs to suck it up and chose and stick with it. I

He'd better have a DAMN good apology for Horizon, no matter how hot he's looking.
Ahem, back on topic.
We were having a discussion about how Sebastian would gain support for his cause. I think that with the money he earned as a fair share of being one of Hawke's companions, he'd have enough to recruit some mercenaries in the beginning. This might or might not backfire, depending on how loyal the mercs are - there are plenty of accounts of mercenary soldiers sacking the cities they're supposed to be taking. The second one of them steps into a Chantry for loot, I have a feeling Sebastian would fly right off the handle.
Thoughts?

Yay!!! Shenko for ME3!!!!!! didn't Kaiden appologize in his letter to shepard?
But the thing is I think Sebastian is better of trying to win the nobility of Starkhaven and it's people.... Mercenaries more times than not are not very trustworthy since no matter how much money you give them someone else is going to trump you.

Someone's been reading Machiavelli?
But I agree, Seb's better off looking for political support rather than just hiring a big old army and trying to take city back by military force. That makes HIM look like the aggressor and usurper, which he's obviously not.
The problem is that he's never in a position during the game where he's committed 100% to retaking Starkhaven until the very end of Act 3 if he's on the rivalry path. And by then, the mage/templar issue is consuming Kirkwall whole, and he decides to stick around until it's resolve. That ends well <_<

Any of those nobles he may have made deals with during the 6 years he was at Kirkwall may or may like that he finally turned away from his vows, especially in such a tumultuous time for the faith.
Maybe even the Divine might get irked and turn attention that way?
I dunno, I have a few ideas on what might be going on, buuuuuut then it'd spoil the fun of writing this story. XD

He can be the ruler of Starkhaven AND be a pious man dedicated to the Chantry. In fact as ruler of Starkhaven he can help the Chantry more than he can as just Sebastian.

Then the people of Thedas also need to realize that the Chantry needs to be separate and not be involved in politic. wqhat kind of dynamic it is if the Divine can just call an army an destroy something they don't like heck they did it to the elves. I mean what right the divine has to tell you how you should treat the mages in your Kingdom....... there would be less problem with the mages to begin with....
Sebastian is fair he may hate anders but i don't see him going RAWR MUST KILL ALL MAGES!!!!

Sebastian's not an unreasonable man. And the only reason why he ever talks about quelling the mages on the rivalry path is because the rebels are directly threatening the safety of the Chantry and its Grand Cleric. Sure he has a fit if you spare Anders, but I see it like Leandra's comment blaming Hawke for his/her sibling's death. It's something he says in the passion of the moment, not something he means. He may hunt Anders to his death, but he's not going to raise an army on behalf of the templars.
God, I need to create a PC who's better for Sebastian. He's such a wonderful foil for my canon!Hawke, and he grows on me more each playthrough. It's so painful watching my protagonist and one of my favorite characters tear each other apart.

Well, I hope that Sebastian will realize, that he can be supportive for a Chantry, but also that he don't have to be a "virgin" again. I like his character, but idea of " chaste marriage" isn't for me, so now Im enjoying by thisvocalemuse wrote...

I have to ask. Does Sebastian romance, how ever much of it there is, bring any banter and reactions?
I don't believe so. I know they asked this over in muhrduhr and the concenses was either they didn't flesh it out because of time or because it was DLC.
So there's no banter, there's no companion ribbings, there's no Varric or Isabela asking for juicy details. Makes me a bit sad.

No, it doesn't, which is a BIG shame. Another missed opertunity - there could have been some great jokes with that.

Ohh... that's a bit sad. The banter in game is really fun. They would have made so much fun out of Sebastian. Isabella teasing him with all that he is missing when being together with Hawke and still chaste. Yupp.... think it would have been a ton of fun.

And missing party banter regarding Hawke/Sebastian is just another way of the game screaming that it doesn't recognize Sebastian romance as romance.

Yeah..while I like Fenris very much, my favourite romance would be with Sebastian. And belive me he looks extremally hot when he kissing, touchin, smilling, even when he drinking a wine..I wanted romance with him so much, that I changed Fenris appearance and modded dialog tlk so I have my own Sebastian romance. Plus now NPCs using my PC name, and it's really sweat when Sebastian calling my PC Ines than Hawke:)tehprincessJ wrote...

Yeah, but it's still Fenris's voice? Or did you turn off the audio?
And how in the world do you get NPCs to call you by yoru PC's name? Again, no audio, I presume.
