Varric doesn't like Sebastian at all. I figure since Sebastian is also a ranger it's an added annoyance. Varric got replaced. lol

First I have to explain that english isn't my native, so while Im enjoying original voices I prefer to read ( in RPGs games) subtitles in my native language. Voices aren't so important for me then. In game I re-writed all Sebastian story. Gameplay is a little complicated, but I have a lot of fun from it. I have two Sebastians ( original and exFenris), and Fenris story about slaves and his master turned into story about assasins from Starkheaven. Thanks to that I have more quests with Sebastian, more dialogs and romance with him.
About my name in DA2 it was easy, really. There is a tool which allow You to change tlk file into txt, and then again txt file into tlk. So I changed dialog. tlk file into txt, edited it i.e via notepad ( search for every "Hawke" that's bound to female PC and change it into " Ines", "serrah Hawke" into " Lady Ines" etc), and then changed it again into tlk file, copy/paste into game directory and that's all.
I did similar thing to get Sebastian's new story.

You should! Even though there's not any kissing or love making involved, I get the feeling in a DLC or expansion we'll be rewarded for our patience... especially since Jennifer Hepler (his writer) said Sebastian's story isn't finished yet.

I don't think DA2 itself is finished at all, to be honest.

It's a great story with many interesting and lovable characters, squashed into a short and rushed gaming experience (kinda like watching "Harry Potter" or "Lord of the Rings" after been reading the books). After my second playthrough I started to think "This just can't be it. It just can't!"

Actually, I think Bioware (or maybe EA) are planning to release several DLCs and/or expansions we need to pay for to play and finally get the complete story. Not just for Sebastian.

I would definetly not mind it, if this now is the case. I loved DA:O, I've completely fallen for DA2 and am already ecstatic over DA3.

This is just my opinion, though. <Joker>Jus' puttin' it out there</Joker>

So the end result is the same friendship and rivalry.Good to know. It's sad that what he says when you side with the templars is so much better...

Which is odd, really, seeing as Varric gets along with everyone. "Are you for real?" is seriously one of the funniest insults ever.

Varric and Sebastian have a very interesting relationship.
I almost died when Seb started giving Varric archery tips. I think it was a tongue in cheek way for Sebastian to get under Varric's skin.

Varric is pretty charming, but really, I don't think Seb's as clueless as some of his dialogue makes him sound.

Makes me wonder. DLC is here to stay, so it's kind of sad some of the story gets the shaft to satisfy the bottom line, especially since DLC is really how companies are making money on the resales, but still... giving the DLC romance and then not making it as fully developed with the little things as the other core romances makes me sad.

Hopefully in future games, they won't pull the same BS. I hate to see the romances dragged out through successes of DLC. I don't think I'd keep spending money on it. Just watch it on youtube. : /

Clearly, Bioware needs to market the release of this DLC with a brand new line of women's t-shirts.  None of this, "I Zevran," or, "I griffon Alistair."  No, no, I want a white t-shirt, flashy gold letters, and, "I'm princess of Starkhaven" overlaid atop a fantasy castle.

I fully expect that if Starkhaven isn't totally trashed considering what's going on with it and with end game events that Sebastian is going to be forced into making "responsible" decisions.

One of those will probably be to taking a wife so he can keep that Vael line going.

The good thing is, Hawke is still considered to be a noble through her Amell ties (right?) so it's not much of a stretch to make marrying Hawke out of the question.
But.  Depending on what you chose to do at the end may flavor that.  If you threw in your lot with the mages, I can see a lot of the noblity of Starkhaven being firmly against Sebastian keeping ties with such a radical.

If you sided with the Templars, well, you're Vicountess now.  Not much they can do to refute that.  So I figure that's going to be the "best" outcome.

I could care less about the position of him being Prince.  I see it more as a job than anything else.  I'm a vet of getting the shafted ending, since my main Origin PT was a Tabris who didn't make Al king.  (I didn't want a pretty princess ending, but... concubine?  F that.)

I just want to see that the whole set up of 7 some odd years isn't just swept under the rug.  Starkhaven is the biggest city in the Marches.  It has a broken Circle and a puppet prince.  Bring on the chaos.  I'd love to see it.

Just one question; does anyone know if Sebastian goes back to Starkhaven regardless you kill Anders or not? Or does he run off hand-in-hand with Hawke into the sunset like all the other LI's?

in the end, Hawke walks alone. No mention of the prince from Varric's story. One will stay if there was/is any previous LI

TBH, it's not the first time it has happened unfortunately. Hopefully, though, DA wont go the same way as it predecessors (KOTOR, NWN). Grant it I enjoyed all the II's thoroughly, but all of them pale in comparison to the originals

True. One sequel I really, REALLY enjoyed is Mass Effect 2. It's a goddamn masterpiece.

I really, really need to stop jumping up at the idea of baked goods. It inspires terrible poetry.
