I have to make a comment in here just to mark my support for Seb.

I will most likely never-ever romance the guy, i love Merrill too much for that, but that said i really think that he's a great character. Especially because he's "just" a DLC.

In case I haven't made my opinion known in other Sebastian threads yet, I love him to pieces. Like most of the others who have chimed in, I wish he'd been a more in-depth romance option. And even though he isn't an LI on the scale that the others are, I continue to like his story the best. Thanks for the Sebastian Support Group.

Sebastian is great. I'm a bit disappointed he's not a bisexual romance option like the others, because I have a bit of a crush on him.

Stealing kisses? Fanfiction time! Theological Debate (It's an SFW story, but postet at the kmeme. I'm not the author.)

It seems the chastity vows are only an issue if you take the friendship route. Could it be that, with his chantry destroyed and the Grand Cleric dead, he will leave for Starkhaven anyway eventually? It would make expanding on the Starkhaven plotline very easy.

My "rivalmance" is complete. It really feels like you are merely teasing him with outlandish flirt lines. And you're entertaining the idea of a political alliance, which is pretty much what I wanted.

Yes, the Friendly romance seemed to soft and squishy for my tastes. besides, my Hawke is a berserker, I doubt she'd settle in a chantry without destroying half of it XD

I was very happy with how everything turned out.

Warrior Hawke, tough as nails, as Sebastian's rival, siding with the templars, works extremely well for me. It comes across as a strong friendship with the slightest hint of a promise that there could be something developing beneath the surface of pragmatism. (EDIT. Really, just two lines of dialgoue. It's the same kind of "romance" you can have with Aveline. It's only he doesn't turn you down, like she does. Instead he says that this is really not the time thinking about such things.)

It's not for everyone, but I'm not the most romantic woman myself, so that doesn't bother me. In fact, I thought it made sense, since I hit the 100% only two quests before triggering the endgame.



EDIT: Does he push you into becoming viscountess on the friend path, too?

When I was trying to friendmance him, I kept getting rivalry points, and now it was a pain in butt to reach to my current 85% XD

It's funny I was never interested in Alistair being a king, then here I am pushing poor guy towards Starkhaven XD

EDIT: Yes, he does. After that he does the chaste marriage proposal XD

Same for me. That's why I had my Hawke slip from direct but diplomatic to angry, young woman who is gradually losing herself, who is willing to let others pay for their crimes and snaps at almost everyone. (Like the Grand Cleric when she refuses to take sides or get to safety.)

It's probably Meredith's insanity that snaps her out of it a bit and she ends up questioning herself. Maybe that's what made her leave.

I often had to choose the not-so-perfect options that led to a less desirable outsome. (Damn Sebastian, how am I supposed to rival you when you keep approving of her actions?) But it added to her character, so I ran with it. It was hard work, I can tell you.

Meh.  Sebastian is too religous and pious for my Hawke's taste.  My Warden would totally hook him up with Leliana, though!  Maybe setup a blind date at the Chantry, under the romantic glow of candles and Statue of Andraste.
