My Hawke didn't get along too well with Sebastian either, for the same reason.

Is Sebastian worth downloading? I'm a sucker for his accent and I'd probably have fun making him uncomfortable. I'm a bit of a completionist too (I play on a console), but I want to know if it's worth spending the money on.

I'm not sure what to tell you, MsKehoe. Peoples opinion of him are very subjective. For me, I loved his voice, I kept clicking on him just to hear him say something. I also thought he was a very nice, good guy. He had his beliefs & he let you know what they were. A lot of people seem to think he was preachy, I didn't. If you don't like people saying good things about the maker & Andraste, he's probably not for you. There is also some kind of bug with his friendship skill that will severly slow your character down for some reason.  I took him everywhere & didn't experience it.  Personaly, I loved him.  Just wish we got more.

Its a shame he was just a DLC character because he has so much potential! when i first saw his reveal trailer his accent blew me away lol
I'm not usually a fan of regilious characters as they are usually too preachy and extreme but they wrote seb perfectly to have faith but be humble about it.

I jump on the bandwagon. Sebastian is awesome . I never thought he would be preachy, just a man with strong religious believes. But I regret that there wasn't the possibility, well, I dunno, to harden him maybe, so he would at least kiss female Hawke - even if it's just on the cheek.

Lookin foward to the next chapter!  I read your note on the last one where you were debating with youself in which dirction to take the chapter (with the anders thing).  I'm glad you went the way you did with it, I'm enjoying it very much.

I like Sebastian, but he confuses me. I just finished a playthrough where I had 100% friendship with Sebastian and he proposed a chaste marriage to me, which I accepted, and then Anders blew up the Chantry and that seemed to end it. He said I was an amazing woman and said something about if we had lived in different times... It's like we broke up. And all I heard was Chantry this and Maker that and blah blah blah.

If you rival him and try to get him to take his lands back, is it any different? He talks about it enough in his banter but it seems to be completely ignored.

And yeah. I wanted at least a sweet, gentle kiss. Can't chaste marriages have that?

I believe, they were streamlining the ending a bit. Either his attitude is changed due to Hawke's influence or it is changed by Elthina's death. No matter what, he'll leave the chantry eventually, I suppose.

Perfect hook if you'd like to see him come back in a sequel or expansion.

If you rival him there comes nothing of it. He mentions that the Viscountess of Kirkwall and the Prince of Starkhaven could form a strong alliance, but he doesn't pursue anything. He just gives the merest hint at the end that he might be interested in Hawke (had things been different). "But let's not think about that now."

It's clear that whatever was there or might have been, he's leaving Kirkwall. End of story ... for now.
