I wonder why Varric is having trouble figuring that one out - my hawk was shamelessly throwing herself at the chantry boy for 7 years. He has to cave some time. They realy need to get that line back in the game.

Edit  - Oo, top:

^^ he's obviously ready to crack

And I guess that your Hawke walking into the Chantry in her underwear has nothing to do with it right ;)

Whilst I do hope a starkhaven DLC were to occur, I hope if it is something that can be played post-OC that it can take into account Sebastian's choice. Like if you were to go down the friendship path where he remains loyal to the Chantry that you go there to install someone else whom he deems as the rightful ruler. Whilst on rival path it is him we're continuing to help lay claim to the title.

My first PS3 playthrough had a Female Hawke Templar Warrior flirt with him on a friendmance path and accept the idea of a chaste marriage, whilst my current first PC playthrough is having a Female Mage Hawke flirt with him on a rival mance path but despite being a mage will take the Templar route at the end so it is the Viscount of Kirkwall and the Prince of Starkhaven looking to unite the two and make them more stronger together :D

@Sihipop nice picture by the way :)

Not to mention just the most sincerely nice, tolerant and sanest guy by a long shot.

Yes, Sebastian seems to come into his own in fan fiction, Aquila is fantastic! fanfiction.net and the Dragonage Kinkmeme.

One day someone is going to get that line to work again at the end of the game, and of course word games again, remember Varric is telling the tale to Cassandra. I guess Hawke is safe in Starkhaven myself... ;)

Speaking of Aquila. I have Lywinis' blessing to do comic pages of it.

I try to draw one page a week since I've been busy with work and some RL stuff.

Excellent! Just the fact that they may consider it is brilliant :)

Back to the Friendmance vs Rivalmance thing, a few things have occurred to me.
Is Bioware having a laugh at us? Many Seb fans have read the friendmance line of chaste marriage as a celibate proposal. A chaste marriage is just one where sex is within marriage, he is not saying that there will be none, just marry him first!
The Rivalmance line about the Prince and Viscountess sounds more like a political marriage to me.

I know which one my f!Hawke would prefer, love and passion over politics any day!

The way Sebastian refers to the chaste marriage, it does seem like he's talking "no sex, just lots of prayer and too much sexual tension". I don't think my Hawke could last, she'd probably end up jumping him in the confessional or something within a week. ;) But at least in the Friendmance he sort of says he loves her, whereas in the Rivalmance there's even less feeling between them, and his "proposal" sounds more political.

I know Ms. Hepler said that Sebastian's story isn't finished yet, so I'm hoping that means we'll see him with Hawke in DLC, not as a lame cameo in DA3. And I hope that if you romanced him, the DLC will acknowledge that, unlike Varric's epilogue.

I did the rivalmance on my latest Hawke and I agree. It felt very political. Luckily it really worked for my powerhungry FemHawke, I'm just hoping that they might actually fall for eachother at some later point    =)

Love the art on this page   =)   thanks you guys, sihipop and eranelle, for posting    Posted Image

Hmmm... since the LI:s have specific banter in the new dlc. Do you guys think that Sebastian will have romantic banter in legacy if he is taken along and romanced. I would very much enjoy that =)

Have no idea so far since I haven't been able to play it yet. Keeping my fingers crossed =)

I think I remember they said that every companion is going to get dialogue and banter for Legacy, including Sebastian. It wouldn't surprise me if they don't give him romantic dialogue/banter though, since they didn't in the main game. <_< I'm still going to be cautiously optimistic.

It would be nice if they would give us that. We suffer a lot for our man, we deserve something.

I see it's mostly women here, but I'll give a male perspective.

I really like Sebastian as a person. I identify with him being a man of the faith, and I like that he takes his principles seriously. There are issues, though. His faith in the maker blinds him to the crimes of the chantry and templars against mages. I shall not give an inch on that matter to appease him, either. A man so devoted to the faith should remember the reasons for which andraste fought and died; mainly to destroy slavers and tyrants. He should not allow himself to be associated with the same.

War is such an ugly business because so many good people get hurt, no matter which side they are on. But that is not reason enough to abandon the cause. Not even for a good man like Sebastian.

Thats not true, James. I sided with the mages in my game (after I murder knifed Anders - which I feel he deserved) and he was right on board with me. In fact, when Merideth wants to annul the circle, he's the first one to speak up that Anders is the one responsible and everyone should not be punished. He's the most objective party member in my opinion. He's never like, "Rawr Templars". He assesses the situation and judges accordingly. The only thing he's Rawr about is killing Anders, which like I said, I'm ok with.

There is...Sebastian starts calling Carver brother-in-law due to thje marriage which pisses him off to no end. Also if you have a male rouge/warrior he'll hit on Bethany.

Seriously, he hits on Bethany???
The brother in law thing is cute, but i don't know if I beleive you.

Edit - if it is true, I kind of regret killing off  Carver that one run

Well the exchange goes something like this: Sebastian refers to Bethany as "Lady Hawke," which she finds amusing considering she's a mage. Sebastian asks her if she's ashamed of being a mage and Bethany says yes, he counters that the Maker makes no mistakes and that he did a particularly good job with her. Bethany gets flustered and, in my case, Isabella audibly groans.

^^ That's slightly annoying since Hawk has to completely throw herself at him to get any kind of recognition. At least they are bringing him out of his shell a little. I might consider getting the DLC now (MIGHT).

Edit - So you really don't get anything good if you are a female rouge/warrior, because in that case, you won't have Carver.  Unless he calles Bethany sister in law.

Well he only gets one dialogue with each sibling so its not worth getting for that. The DLC allright I'd give it a 7/10 better than any of DAO's dlc but inferior to Mass Effect's. The majority of it is a dugeon crawl so it feels like the Deep Roads 2.0 with more dialogue and story incursions. All of the party members due get story injunctions and banter but its not that much characterization. I brought Sebastian along cause I wanted to see his interactions with the twins which is never seen in the main game. Final boss was interesting though.

Edit: My female rogue didn't romance him so I wouldn't know.

I about jumped out of my seat when Sebastian acknowledged that he'd married Hawke. Chaste marriage or not, there was recognition! Wheeeeee! (Even down to Hawke's, "Carver, PLEASE be happy for me?" Eeeee!)

For those of you running a rivalmance, I'd be interested to see what the dialog between Carver and Sebastian is.

Edit: ~And reloading that save to get me some screenshots. Lalalala ~

Blaaaah, stop talking about all the Sebastian goodies in DLC. *covers ears* Lalala! I just got a new computer and told myself I wasn't gonna spend more money, even for Legacy, but all this info is weakening my willpower!

Someone please confirm if this is true (Legacy spoiler concerning rivalmance + Bethany in the party).

Because, if true, it is extremely relevant to my interest in this DLC.
