Oi vey... I figured that after what happened at the end of DA2, the whole chaste marriage idea was off. Can't believe they actually went through with it... and I'm wondering how long it will last before Hawke jumps Sebastian, or maybe even visa versa. 

Edit: The banter between rivalmance Sebastian and Bethany is lame. She's flirting with him, and then Hawke interrupts just so she'll stop. Sebastian got like two lines out of the deal. Maybe something happens later? Must play more.

..... OK, so NOW I have to reach Act 3 and get that rivalmance with Seb with my blood mage, because I'll be DAMNED if I miss out on a kiss with Seb.

Seriously, my eye is twitching in a good way from all this Legacy juicyness. I will play it this weekend.

 Well, I started Legacy with my Friendmance Sebastian PT just to see if the banter was different, and I thought it was utterly adorable. 

Sebastian says something like "I'll be a prince and more thanks to the pure love of your sister" to Bethany, and she is like "Right, you're 'married'" and Hawke's like "I know, crazy right?" to which Bethany replies "Don't screw it up."

Ahhh Bethany, such words of wisdom you give to your crazy older sister.

Argh, so it sounds like the banter is towards the beginning of Legacy...? I haven't finished yet with my rivalmance mage, but nada so far with Carver. No acknowledgment of my upcoming princess-hood. And no one seems to be talking much now that we're dungeon crawling. I hope this doesn't mean I messed up my rivalmance...

I didn't recall having any mention of the upcoming princess hood, when I took my Mage Rivalmance Hawke down with Sebastian, Varric and Aveline. But... I did get a really nice scene where one of the twins would've been. When Hawke finally recognises that it is Malcolm's voice, a cut-scene occurs where Sebastian walked up to her. In this playthrough Carver died in the Deep Roads and this was post-campaign so Leandra was dead as well, so Hawke was the last of her family alive. I'm tempted to fire up a save I made a bit before it so I can see what the other dialogue options produce, but I basically had Hawke saying how she missed her family and Seb was soooo sweet with her... kind of funny because what with that and the 'echo' scene at the end with Leandra, Bioware just managed to prove that underneath the slightly heartless (other than for Seb) exterior Hawke has, she has a real soft spot for her family even when I picked the 'aggressive' option when talking to Leandra, she was all like RAWR I miss you all!

I'm really curious if the only way to get that smooch is if Bethany is around and if in a rivalmance, kind of doesn't make sense to do it in friendmance unless further proving the sexual tension between the 2 but even in my friendmance I won't get to see if there is reference to him calling Bethany a 'Sister' unless I fire up a pre-The Last Straw save for that playthrough because I let Meredith kill Bethany in that one. Only good thing I guess is I'll get a repeat of the Hawke-Sebastian scene, though it'll be interesting to see if he has different dialogue if in friendmance.

I played it once with a FemHawke and the moment back in the house with Carver is wonderful. But I want to see this as well!!

Ohhh... perhaps there is no kiss with Sebastian? Has anyone else gotten it for rivalmance? Hmmm... bad karma to let people get their hopes up in case there isn't one. But I'll just be happy with a little banter because I have wanted that for quite some time now   =)

Agreed. I've completed Legacy twice with Carver and Sebastian (rivalry) and nothing happened. So, it's either a bug (which I wouldn't completely discount), or there really is no content.

Yeaaaaah...the post I linked sounded a bit too gushy to be true. I figured if anyone would know the truth, it would be this thread.

Legacy has been getting pretty good feedback, so I think I will be getting it. And I'm glad there is some Sebastian content that seems to confirm that the relationship isn't just more fruitless flirting, even though it looks like it's more interesting for Friendmance banter than what is confirmed for rivalry.

I find it very curious that Carver wouldn't have anything to say on the rivalry romance, though.

Or maybe it's split between them? Bethany mentions the rivalry romance and Carver the friendship romance? Not sure I like this concept.

Just finished Legacy with (in principle) 100% rivalmanced Sebastian from post-campaign mage!Hawke PT. Took Carver, Varric and Seb. Carver was somewhere around 25%-ish friended (@rak72, good point; maybe sibling approval matters?). No mention whatsoever of my relationship w Seb. I tried to reload and re-trigger as many banters as I could, but nothing romantico. *sigh* Guess I gotta do that Seb friendmance now (oh darn...).

But, FWIW, I enjoyed it. Some fun strategy stuff with the final battle, IMO. And, the companions did lots of chiming in, which I liked. Seb had less to say than Carver and Varric; but he still seemed more ... involved compared to the main campaign where I often felt that Seb was a bit overlooked and underwritten.

EDIT: @Chignon - AGREE on both points.

 Maybe we need to make a list of all the Sebastian content we get in Legacy and the requirements? 

It looks to me like I'm going to be very busy, I have Friendmance and Rivalmance with my Warrior, but I have to make her a Mage for my next PT to get the Sebastian/Carver banter, and then ANOTHER save where Hawke's the last of her family, so I can get extra Sebastian?! Ahhh, the lengths I go for our sexy chaste Prince.

 just finished mine. I brought Seb (100% rival), Fenris(100% friend), & Bethany(100% friend). Fenris and Seb had a lot more banter about Tevinter; Bethany flirted with Seb and Hawke changed the subject telling Bethany that Hawke is glad to see her again.
Background story before the legacy: My Hawke had a thing with Fenris but stopped the romance when Fenris begged to come back and Seb flirted with my Hawke about having a formal alliance but from Varric's story on the post-campaign on who stayed with me was Fenris.---
I guess, I have to play the whole game again and see the difference.

Oh, btw. I decided to opened my first character PT that didn't have the Excile Prince DLC before and when I took Sebastian to the black emporium in post-campaign, I could put in gears on him.

Took Rivalmanced Sebastian into Legacy again, but didn't bring Bethany, I brought Varric and Merrill. At the end of the "Malcom's Will" quest, Sebastian did have an extra line asking Hawke about how she felt about what her father did, but no other lines than that. Maybe there's more lines if Hawke is the only surviving member of her family?

Ooooo, that dialogue is different than what I got with Friendmanced Sebastian and Bethany! Bethany never mentioned the wedding, just told Hawke "Right, you're 'married', don't screw it up."

Methinks maybe banter changes depending on Hawke's attitude? I usually play Witty Hawke.

That Bethany is a little Trollop. She has the hots for Anders, trys to steal away Seb. Good thing I sent her off to the Gray Wardens.

My Hawke is normally olive branch/diamonds with Seb and Aveline, sarcastic with Varric, Fenris and Isabela. Whatever comes to mind with Anders and Merrill. I also use aggressive if anyone threatens me or mine. We won't talk about the awful flirt/heart lines, they make me cringe even if we have to use them...

I did get different dialogue at the end of my last DA2 playthrough with friendmanced Seb. I killed Anders without asking opinions. Then chose aggressive option in the Gallows instead of my normal (I'm sorry about Elthina). My friendmanced Seb gave me the romance lines from the Rivalmanced Seb at the end! I also go a cutscene end where he is looking around at the kneeling Templar with a very hot expression. (wish I'd got my fingers to the screenshot button in time!)
