I love Sebastian. I think he's the most honest of the companions. So basically, unless it's called "Sebastian Lies His Ass Off For Two Hours" I would be very interested in any DLC that included him

I get the impression that 'Bastian was made for us fangirls... being exclusively hetero and all, not that I have anything against the bi-companions, but he seems to be a special thought for us and a DLC in addition to a little loosening of his religious stays would tend to confirm this...

Oh good! I've become quite attached to him now that he's armed with Jackal's longbow. He's even better than Varric with this weapon and that's saying a lot. I take him with me everywhere now.

Also, I became really attached to him as a friend (though would like more than that). And even though in my current mage playthough, I am romancing Anders and I plan to let him live at the end, so Seb is going to storm off to get his armies...I think that's a win-win. He needed to leave the Chantry and become the leader he was meant to be. I can't wait to see more Sebastian DLC.

LOVE these! Great tension between f!Hawke and Sebastian. 

I also loved Lywinis' story so far.

I'm so happy to know I'll be hearing more of Sebastian's beautiful brogue in future games/DLC. I wonder if they wear kilts in Starkhaven...

Although, even if it was just DLC with Seb sitting in front of you being animated talking and telling some starkhaven stories....I'd probably go for that too....as long as the VA was the same....*mwrawr*

If Sebastian's story isn't finished yet, I really hope that the love he has for Lady Hawke (if she romanced him) will carry over to whatever new story he has. I feel like I worked my arse off for him, for very little payback.

Also, I really wish that if my Hawke had accepted Seb's proposal for a chaste marriage, that I could have seen Hawke takes vows next to Seb, like how Seb was talking about. That would have been sweet. And then when Anders blew up the Chantry, we would have been married in the eyes of the Maker and...Maybe Sebastian would stay with Hawke in Varric's narration.

When Sebastian is talking about a chaste marriage, though, does he mean a chaste marriage of him to Hawke? Or that they're both married to the Maker, but they're brother and sister spiritually?

Oh, thank the Maker! (Meaning, you.  ) My first Lady Hawke was pretty crushed after the whole Anders thing. I would hate for her to lose everything and then just stay alone.

I hope this means Andraste's face can be removed. *giggles*

I really like Sebastian, he's my second favorite companion (Carver is my favorite). I really like the portrayal of the turmoil he faces when he must choose vengeance for his family and fulfilling his vows to the chantry. He was also the perfect level of wisdom and brash youth, a solid character, kudos Bioware.

Yes, FINALLY! *rare high "I love Carver" five*  I agree. I loved both of them.

*lol* Yes, please! Interrupts would have been awesome, but that would have been the crowning glory right there. That's the only complaint I have, really--that you couldn't grab him and give him a taste of what he's missing and ask him if he can live his whole life like that or if he's only fooling himself. (The Paragon side could've been a gentle, non-pushy attempt at doing the same.)

I did enjoy my first playthrough... sleeping with Fenris, getting dumped, going to Anders, getting betrayed, stabbing Anders in the back, then hearing Sebastian say his "you're an amazing woman and I wish things could've been different" lines. I actually feel like that was a better "romance" with him than the vows/political alliance paths; like that sort of woman was better for him. Supportive, but not interfering; knows who she is and wants to make sure he does before moving on with her life.

If it were me, I would want to tell him that if his entire family died, and he's still feeling so many passions and so much restlessness, that maybe his time at the chantry was the Maker preparing him to be the kind of leader Starkhaven deserves; that maybe this is the Maker's will, that he care for Starkhaven. I don't think either the rash boy he was or the priest he is would really suit him or fulfill him; something in between, learning from both experiences, that's who I think he should be. It fits Starkhaven's history.

I didn't really care much for Sebastian pre-Anders scene, he's still not my favorite companion but I don't understand where people are coming from that his reaction is exaggerated and unrealistic. He's probably the only character who's "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" I didn't laugh at and that's saying a lot.

He was actually rather mellow. Were I in his place, I would have already logded a couple arrows in the terrorist abomination head.

i really have to agree with all that you said, and i think that's where his appeal lies. most people brush him off as the guy who preaches too much, only all the other characters "preach" too, just without religion and yet Seb is the only one who gets knocked for it because of his religious background.

He's not the only one who gets knocked for his outlook.  I've read disdainful comments about pretty much all the companions (except maybe Varric).  Also, Leliana was religious and yet she has quite a sizable fanbase.
