Lol, He goes back to Starkhaven and opens a waffle house

He'll open 'House Vael Waffles of luxury' tea room... Posted Image

I didn't mean he'd open a waffle house. Though that could be a possibility too. The famous Vael waffles.

I wonder how many women will come in, and ask to have some alone time with Sebby and some maple syrup? :innocent:

I meant more along the lines of Sebby going into the waffle house all rivalry angry with Hawke, and start stabbing his waffles viciously. To the point that everyone around him looks at him, and thinks "Whoa man. What'd the waffles ever do to you? I'm sure they're very sorry."

No. She just said that as Chantry beliefs go, Sebastian was open to other ways of seeing the Maker. She cites him as being accepting of the Dalish gods etc as being another face of the Maker, rather than heathen. This is taken normally in religion as a moderate stance.

This is better to my mind, than Lelianas - the Maker spoke directly to me stance...which always made me twitch..badly.

Leliana takes exactly that stance towards the Dalish.

I think Starkhaven officially needs to be known for it's waffles now.

We need waffle easter eggs in the Sebastian/Starkhaven DLC.

Sorry to interrupt but I read somewhere that in the Legacy dlc if you "romanced" Sebastian you get a kiss or something. I read the bit about the chaste marriage being recognized and the flirting with Bethany and all, but when I went back several pages in the thread trying to find an actual confirmation on the kiss I couldn't really find any. Forgive me if I missed it, but is there an actual kiss? I only just started playing the dlc.

The kiss was a lie, PBCorn :-(

@ Nhadalie - Lol, I knew what you meant, it just gave me the idea of him actually opening his own waffle house.

@ PurebredCorn - I know the feeling... one of my friends baited with it and another confirmed the truth. *sighs* Got our hopes up for nothing... especially for rivalmancers.

Oh well, all we can hope for is Starkhaven DLC/Expansion for some complete conclosure to the Prince's story...

Just saw this- really lovely! I hope Sebastian will be become a more fully developed romance in the future. The more I play, the more I like him. But I'm pretty easygoing...DA2 doesn't have a single companion that I dislike.

I can't really comment on the authenticity of anyone's accents. I have a pretty generic "American" accent, and I haven't really known anyone with an obvious accent from another country.

I usually assume most accents in video games are faked by the VAs, even though they may not be. *shrugs*

Although I get annoyed when people say that Merrill's Dalish clan sounds Canadian, because I'm Canadian and no one I grew up with sounds like that.  Unless they're talking about French-Canadians. *scratches head* Sooo many variations of accents depending on where you live in a country, I suppose.

Sorry, i'm gone 2 days and 5 pages pop up. Now that you mention it. Being French Canadian myself and no i'm not a Quebecquois. the Dalish do have that slight French Canadian accent. I'm Brayon so when I speak in english I have a tedency to roll my "R"  Merril does it with her R and so the the Keeper but it is not as pronounced as us Brayon. And yes it is hard to pin point french canadian accent since it varries from place to place and how close we are to the "english"

Wonderful! You mixed the beats with dramatic moments well. My only problem is the...crushing depression once it's over, causing me to remember we can't suck Sebastian's face like in the modded footage XD

As the worlds worst rivaler of Sebastian,

I think he might do after endgame...interesting!

This is a real quote, yes, something that you personally have heard in game?

My plot line is changing rapidly...

I don't blame you. Like I said, I have multiple saves, and I just friendmanced him the first time around. Figured I'd do the easy one first. Still deciding which one I like better.

But yeah, he can say that in his final "Questioning beliefs" assuming he's a rival. Just for the sake of discovering dialogue and hearing him say more words I chose a response other than the final flirting line. I think it had something to do with questioning whether the situation in Kirkwall was really that bad.

Then Sebastian sells it as a franchise, becomes a millionaire, and Starkhaven Waffles are available all over Thedas.

I can imagine the scene that you talked of...stabbing waffles, the noise of the fork hitting the plate, maple syrup sloshing everywhere. Then Hawke appears, hugs him, leans over and takes a bite...Posted Image

That explains it, I've never rivalled Sebastian other than as LI. So like Anders, he says a lot more to non-romanced Hawke.

Thank you!

I know.

Sadly most people who talk to the Maker directly become mystics or...prophets. Prophets in DA tend towards the let's convert the masses crusades or exalted marches, like Andraste.

It bothers me that we can't have a real conversation in Faith with Leliana, She isn't really there to speak to us, regardless of what Elthina says. Leliana is there to warn us to get Elthina out. The intimation is that the Divine has already decided to take action.

Leliana from DAO would have been more flexible, in Faith she seems to have become more of a hard liner. Bioware plot bunnies seem to be having fun. Posted Image

Mind you Sebastian does not help matters, whatever Hawke says we get that awful line 'what can a few mages...possibly do' in the most unconvincing voice of the decade. The only time in the game when my Hawke is very tempted to thwap him about the ear...

The only reason that I have a rivalled Sebastian saved game - Legacy troll and the kiss rumour.
The only reason that I have a saved game with dead Bethany - Legacy troll and the Sebastian extra end scene rumour.
Over 80 hours of gameplay and no payback...

We should find this troll and introduce it to something small, sharp, and pointy.

The despicable dialogue happens after Aveline and Sebastian are talking about Hawke becoming Viscount in the final Questioning beliefs.

Seb: Starkhaven needs me but I will not leave Elthina to the mercy of those apostates. We must put down their rebellion and solidify the Chantrys hold. Then I can return to Starkhaven with a clean conscience.

Hawke: Focus on Starkhaven. Your enemies are there not here.

Seb: I know that you have sympathy for the rebels, but surely you must see they can't win. Frankly, both sides are despicable. I wouldn't leave Her Grace at the mercy of either. But it will all be over soon, one way or the other.

Then the famous 100% rivalry flirt...

Awesome, I didn't know you were French Canadian, thanks for replying. I took a trip about ten years ago out east, went to Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI, but I don't remember anyone's accents.

I bought Legacy because of the kiss rumor, and that a Sebastian romance was "confirmed". At least I got one of those, and Legacy itself was awesome, so it's not like I wasted my money.

That sucks that you did two extra playthroughs and got zip because of evil trolls. :( There was even an end scene rumor? Yeesh. I know there was one rumor that if your sibling was dead and romanced!Sebastian was in your party, he would talk to Hawke at the end of the "Malcolm's Will" quest in lieu of your sibling, but it's only half right; the scene does happen, but your sibling doesn't need to be dead, just not in your party.

You know, I wonder at the 'Frankly, both sides are despicable. ' part of that dialogue each time (and lol I've never actually seen in game the Friendship dialogues. >.<)

I mean... is it the templars he thinks are despicable, or is it Meredith?

Meeeeh so much to be read into a small piece of dialogue.

Also, glad you guys are enjoying the video. X3 Still not sick of that song. XD

It is just an opinion...not game canon, codex or wiki, just a writer thinking aloud.

On that I agree, but I'm not as much disagreeing with your opinion as I didn't understand the connection you've seemed to imply between a rivaled Sebastian and him "going crazy".

Finally finished my Anders romance playthrough last night. Time to work on Sebby's.

I'm going to have like 15 different saves for different possibilities with him.

Any suggestions for the play through? I'm already planning to do both friendmance and rivalmance.

Beware Hawke's flirty responses, they're very scary.

While you're rivalmancing him, you may want to read some good Sebastian fanfics, or write your own...because there's really not much of anything in game except for some cringe worthy flirts on Hawke's part.

I'm actually thinking about doing a friendmancing mage who sides with the templars now (and finally makes Carver a templar).  I have NO idea how this will work as far as roleplaying.
