Thanks for this! I'm playing a sarcastic rogue Hawke for whom it would be very out of character to up and become a Sister because of a boy.Illusionary Ennui wrote...
I could just throw it on my Tumblr, I suppose, if you really want it.
*pokes Tumblr for a bit*
Here we go... I think: Rivalmancing the Prince

Please note that this contains spoilers and I have included warnings on the page thusly. It also makes many assumptions which are dictated at the opening of the guide. I've been meaning to add his last companion quest and questioning beliefs, but the main point of the guide to get him rivaled. But yes, I'll be updating it soon so that you may know how to get him to make the infamous flirt.

@ John...
I wrote it with patch 1.3 in a playthrough from start to finish... did you do all parts? You should get 15 in the conversation with Lady Harriman and the demon Allure, an extra 5 with Flora when you run into her as you start to leave through the estate, and then 10 more for a total of 30 after the conversation back in the Chantry if you follow my guide, even though you miss out on the flirt (if you go for the flirt, I have included at the end of the guide various situations were you can gain extra rivalry point that you may have missed)...
If there are any problems, the Wiki is also a good source for how a companion might react and my own game matched those quoted in the article for Repentance.
Any road, thanks... I hope you get everything back in working order, but I do apologize if my game is somehow glitchy or my guide incomplete. I wrote it as I was playing, minimizing and typing out the reactions and then adding the points when the conversations were over.
EDIT: The point values are correct, I just played through the quest to make sure. Also, I edited the guide and added more extras at the end for other rivalry situations as well as point out which particular choices during the certain quests would net you the rivalry points.
If anyone finds any mistakes or more ideas, please feel free to let me know.

What unlike Sebby here Lucas took in kingly responsibilities of conquering eveything to heart(even if he was mad and a jerk even to his sister) I would never dream of killing Sebastian but you have to admit how SATISFYING! it was to kill Lucas.

@TeenZombie - Absolutely... at least, that's what I keep telling myself. You can rival him without being evil, you just have to make the hard decisions with the right intentions. *wrote a guide on how to rival the prince without being a jerk by about half-way through Act II so you can make whatever decisions you want after that*
"You'll be a just and fair ruler." That line (not sure if I'm quoting right) is probably one of the best in regards to him and the prospect - given the right tools, Starkhaven would prosper in his hands... he just needs a push and to learn to stop waffling.
EDIT: Here's the link to the guide, now available to anyone: Rivalmancing the Prince

Thank you so much for the guide! I have Sebastian now on full rivalry without doing something cruel that would not fit to my Hawke. I am going to compare friendship and rivalry - hopefully we will get a new dlc to further explore Sebastian's story soon but it could be that they spare it for DA3...
