Personally, I like his original look best. Then again, I'm not too fond of appearance mods in general.

I wouldn't mind that.

His original look just didn't do it for me ... something about that high forehead that makes it look like his hairline is receding ..

Ok, admittedly it does make him look rather boyish ... But I felt that his original look was just too harsh for him ... he seems to have had a relatively easy life -- no reason why he should look so hardened & haggered

I stick to Duchell's if I mod Sebastian or the one my friend made for me of the original with added stubble. *shrugs* Other than that, the only other person that I mod besides my own Hawke is Merrill.

Just about the only character or companion I haven't modded yet is Isabela --- So far I have modded my whole family, Petrice, Orana, Leliana, Merrill, Fenris, Anders, Sebastian, Aveline, & Varric  ...

Only reason Isabela is still vanilla is that I haven't found a satisfactory mod for her yet.  I just wish I knew how to mod myself ... sigh, but the mods available are great & I am enjoying them.

I forgot that I mod Orana... *laughs* I felt so sorry for that poor girl - that eyeshadow was horrendous.

Any road, I used to mod Isabela, but just so she was wearing pants, but I personally like all the companions as is. I only mod Seb to make him look his age and a little more ruggedly handsome - suits his voice a bit better, despite his demeanour at times. That, and its suits my head-canon a bit more in the aftermath.

Fair enough, you're free to do what you like.

I think his looks suit his character well enough. The aquiline nose and high forehead give him an aristocratic look without making his features seem too harsh.

The one at 6 minutes is somewhat interesting, too.  Sebastian seems to get better lines with each DLC.  I always had this theory that Bioware characters improve with more exposure.

Also...padded doublets?  So Starkhaven is 2nd to Orlais in Fancy Court of Backstabbing Elites?

Still a big lack of romance-related dialogue though. Tallis asked my friendmancing Hawke "So are you married?" and all she said was 'let's move on'. When her husband was standing right behind her. Like she was ashamed of him or something. Awkward.

All the othe LIs have a comment to make in that banter, but (as far as I can tell) Sebastian was ignored. Again. Which is especially annoying in a friendmance, because you'd think he'd have the most to say.

Ok, I have a question.  Is the lack of extra dialogue for Sebastian due to him being a DLC character?  I just took him with my 2nd playthrough F!Hawke Assassin Rogue on the Legacy quests and he had very little to say there as well.  Admittedly I haven't been using him as much as other characters so I haven't really had much of a chance to look at his dialogue options.

And you can flirt with Tallis relentlessly and Sebastian will just stand there and not say anything.  I just don't get it, they give him his own little "equipment quest", they have Bethany acknowledge that Hawke/Sebastian are together, when Hawke jokingly asks if he's leaving her to join the Qun, he says he never would... but all the interjections that the other LIs can make, he doesn't. Just because he's a DLC character and only "half a romance" (or some people claim he's not a romance at all) doesn't mean that he shouldn't be given the opportunity to give romance related dialogue when the other LIs do. It just seems lazy and awkward, IMO.

Sadly, Male!Hawke also gets this banter. It's not female or romance specific. :(
And I agree. It is laziness. They had banter recorded, it wouldn't have cost that much to stick in a few lines acknowledging the romance, surely? Because apart from the Bethany thing, which you don't get if you don't or can't bring her along, you get nothing.

I didn't figure so, just like the (non-friendmanced) Sebastian/Bethany banter in Legacy. <_<

You'd think that with all the Sebastianmancers protesting his lack of romantic dialogue and wanting more acknowledgement of the romance since March, Bioware would have added more romantic interactions for Sebastian and give Sebastian the same interjections as the other LIs.

Sigh  . . . I don't understand the reasoning at all. Part of the reason I decided to buy MotA was because Legacy did acknowledge the friendmance at least and I was hoping for acknowledgement of the rivalmance as well in MotA. I got zip. In fact I also only got Bethany's 'Sister you lucky ****' in my Fenris friendmance playthrough, which suggests that that dialogue is just female Hawke specific, not romance specific.

Bioware, I am disappoint.

Oh man, I didn't know that everyone gets the I'd never leave you for the Qun line. Thanks for the confirmation. That was my one bright spot from my mage, dead-bethany, rivalmance PT. :( Yes, I am also incredibly annoyed that BW couldn't have added in even a line. I had such hope after Legacy that they were sort of  retroactively trying to add more Seb romance. Instead you get more romantic banter out of Tallis than him, and she's not even a real companion.  Hmm, that fact probably bothers me the most... grumble grumble. Here's crossing the fingers that they're just saving it all up for the Starkhaven DLC!! :innocent:

Still loved some of his regular banters, tho. That one about him getting his Andraste codpiece during his wild days was classic! With that, and the one about the kennel master's daughter, it's almost like they tried to show more of his former wild side . .  perhaps in response to all the blowback that he's too zealous/preachy/[insert negative adjective here]?

Which confuses me, because then you have this:

www.youtube.com/watch

Where there's a clear difference (I say 'clear' but it is only one sentence).  In my Rivalmance I had Bethany in the Circle and she did the 'lucky' line, so it's not a Warden/Circle thing.

Also, I searched YouTube and...um...has anyone else posted this?

www.youtube.com/watch

Hey, look, that Hawke is a berserker/reaver too.  I think that compliments Sebastian well.

Edited because I just discovered the hyperlink button!

Male Hawke says exactly the same thing in response to Varric's 'you're still celibate' line so that dialogue is not romance specific, just like the line about the Qun. Male Hawke also asks if Sebastian is leaving him for it and gets 'never' in reply. I think the difference in Bethany's MotA scene with Sebastian depends on whether Hawke is male or female. If female you get the 'lucky bit*h' line, if male you get Bethany's 'oh maker'

So, yeah. No romance specific dialogue for Sebastian at all in MotA. Which really sucks.
