It tries to install the 1.04 patch, fails and then closes the program, despite the fact that 1.04 is already installed, as I have the stand-alone version downloaded.

Downloading the dazip, that will hopefully fix the issue. Still, lots of files in the "download content" thing in the game are just not downloading. They sit there and then fail.

I was having the same issue, running it as administrator fixed the problem
