I was greatly saddened by the ending - not only by the events that took place, but also because this intense and involving adventure had come to an end. I'll always remember this my adventure when everything was new and I played from the heart - replays just wont be the same.

But, as other posters have said, it could have also been so much more! The written text was just lazy - it almost depreciated the experience - like it was an afterthought! Perhaps I would have cried if the close of the story was as worthy as the adventure itself.

I didn't cry, but I was disappointed in myself. Had made some annoying mistakes during the story..

I cried when I realized that Morrigan may come after me for child support in the sequel....

Hahahahha

Mass Effect was emotionally powerfull for me so i expected to let out a little man tear in the end but didn't.  Although i was a little bit disturbed how it ended with Morrigan. I reckon that after ME2 ending i'll cry myself to sleep.

@ Rivanstar
I know what you mean, i was little let down by the written text aswell. I was hoping for a little grander ending that would finish up the journey.

I didn't.

I did cry at the end of a book I read recently. Not because it was sad, but because two characters were turned into mcguffins early on, then killed in the epilogue. Why would you do that?! It's the frickin' denoument. You're supposed to bury the dead, not create them!

I was close to crying. I choked up at the end a little but managed to hold back the tears.

I'm a 26 year old male engineer. >.<

I had a happy ending, and I sure am glad. These things tend to really affect me, and I know I'd be depressed for days. Now I can play through again and choose Alistair for an unhappy ending. :P

I cried, but I also cried when the party lined up to say their goodbyes before the big battle. That just killed me and I actually felt guilty about not taking some party members with me. Without spoiling anything I chose what I thought was the most noble and selfless conclusion, and it left me feeling terribly sad and lonely at the end. Next time, different decision.

I was deeply and emotionally saddened.

I ehh... I mean I was not even slightly moved by it, then I ate steak and drank some beer.

But no, didn't make me cry. Eyes watery, perhaps.

I felt betrayed and slicing Morrigan up when she betrayed our 'romance' like that, but I didn't cry.

I was, however, pretty dead after all that + my ending. But no tears lols.

It was quite an emotional story, mostly due to the well-rounded characters. However, I didn't cry, 'cause I'm a manly man, and manly men don't cry.

I just had something stuck in my eye, yeah, that's it...

Yes, I cried, I loved my first character alot, it was as if I was that character on my epic adventures that had come to an end, all to early! I loved the ending, but I'm disapointed at the same time, anyhow that ending brought out the emotional man inside of me.

Got teary with my sad ending. Got shocked beyond belief with some earlier developments, and truly disgusted at times. Phenomenal writing.

Considering I couldn't even bring myself to PLAY the ending once I found out about it - yup.

I got very, very close during the credits when everything started to sink in. Choked up, watery eyes etc. If it's not flowing down my cheeks, I don't count it as crying, damn it.

I got misty eyed, becuase my character wouldn't let Alistair sacrifice himself, since his kingdom needed him. And went out as a Noble Bad-Ass Elf.

Rest well, ye knight in sour armour.

Mine had a happy ending, so I didn't cry... except at the fact that I get the feeling Morrigan's damned 'old god' baby is going to haunt my queen and Alistair in any sequel or DLC later on. xD

I didn't cry although I will admit this game has affected me the most out of pretty much any game ever. Apart from Pokemon Yellow of course.

As the final credits rolled and I read about how the lives of the heroes went I got the stiff lower lip syndrome. It was an "Awww..." moment. Made me happy thinking of DLC though. At least we have that thought for the time being.
