Just a quick question. I want to make a druid character eventually and was wondering if doing good or bad things as truel neutral is bad with that alignment. I am unsure of how they work.

I'm also curious as to how good the werewolf and greater werewolf spells are.

Your actions determine your reputation. The more 'good' actions, the higher your reputation will be. You really want a high reputation no matter your alignment, even if it's evil. Higher reputation=better prices from vendors. It's up to you, but personally i wouldn't pay any attention to alignment in the Baldur's Gate series, unless you really want to roleplay. Unlike in NWN, your actions won't change your alignment. There's one exception, but since this is the no spoilers section, i can't go into details.

The werewolf forms in vanilla Baldurs Gate are broken. There are mods that make the werewolf more useful. Check the mods links on this forum. .

"The second component changes the werewolf attacks of the shapeshifter druid to deal slashing damage instead of piercing. Not only does it make more sense (in my opinion), but common foes often have a high resistance or even immunity to piercing damage, even at lower levels. This component also changes the Greater Werewolf's claws to +4 weapons instead of +2. This only applies to the enchantment rating of the claws, and will not actually change their damage or THAC0 bonuses. When making this change, I've had in mind the difficulties the shapshifter faces on higher levels, where many common foes have immunity to weapons with weaker enchantments."

Would that be good?

Yes. The werewolf mods i know of are all good. You might want to avoid the Weimer werewolf mod, though. It's badly overpowered. Wes Weimer was a great modder, but game balance never was one of his priorities:).

Haha, thank you for the heads up. I was also wondering, is there any mods that allow you to play as a werewolf in BG1?

Both Baldurs Gate Trilogy and Tutu allow you to use the kits from Baldurs Gate 2 in BG 1.

I dont like neutral in terms of role play - it's so confusing, but watch out for Chaotic neutral NPCs... they are fun and deadly at the same time.

Hushing so not to say a spoiler >=)

Haha, aren't chaotic neutral suppose to be madmen?

Thanks flamedance. I'm installing BGT as we speak. One last question here. Does anyone know of any mods that allow you to have an alternate starting outfit? I hate having to use the robes for a mage. I'd rather have the fighter outfit.

I made a CN gnome on IWD and gave her pretty much one of the right voices Image IPB
I think it was Female Mage 1 or 2.
Fighter/illusionists... loud... and a tiny bit deadly.

Nah, Chaotic Neutrals tend to be really lighthearted and fun, they just dont care about following laws or abiding to other peoples requirements :)

All of my favorite NPCs in D+D games tend to be CN - Jan, Haer'Dalis, Qrobnar and Qara.

My RL personality is also somewhat chaotic neutral.

A fun quote to read -

A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it.

Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal.

Chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.
