Odd, I thought they'd have put this up in the Announcements forum. I'll sticky it here.

Fixes only the things that shouldn't have been broken in the first place.

Fixed save game issues on single core machines
Fixed game asking for non-existent drives
Fixed release control issues where some players were unable to unlock correctly
Fixed a Steam-specific issue related to VO not playing after switching languages

A patch of 9MB. Pssh.

Well, they fixed it anyway and pretty soon. So...

There is apparently a pacth 1.02 in the works. Fernando Melo said it in one of the threads recently, I believe.

If I wasn't this lethargic I'd be more apathetic.

The patch announcement will also be on the launcher and in the bottom left of your game menu if you log in to your EA account in game.

I've had it installed since it was released and there've been no problems for me.

^This.  Probably the most prominent issue right now.

You wont be worrying about auto attack so much when you're blessed with permanent -50% damage reduction and permanent -50% attack/skill/spell speed animations.

A modder made a fix for that. It's on DA Nexus. Bless the modders!

This doesn't help console users at all, and it shows up for PC players when they atart the game, I wouldn't have made a huge announcement either.

Related to Isabela/Sebastian thing: somehow My Rogue Hawke with Duelist after a glitch that gave me 3 specialization points, when I use a Maker's Sigh now incurs a permanent -5% Critical Chance hit. Before I use, everything is as they should be.

Theorically, it doesn't affect dual-core machine performances, but it did cause some severe performance increase on my system with DX11 renderer enabled. So it worths a try even if you don't have any of the problems listed up in the comments.

On the other hand it caused my game to crash to desktop every now and then (while loading, saving, or entering/leaving an area), up to the point where I couldn't leave the Blooming Rose.
So I'd encourage everyone to make a backup before installing this patch.

Dose this patch make the game a bit more fun... The only enjoyment i have had playing this game so far is using the conversation wheel randomly, then hitting esc repeatedly to skip the conversation to see what the consequences are.. so far anders has left my party, getting lots of random friendship/ rivalry points and best of all the game progresses faster, though i really have no idea what varric says in the cut scenes with the lady questioning him but i think it goes something like "and this is what happened next"

I hope the next patch will fix the problem with the friendship bonuses of Isabela and Sebastian.

The patch isn't exactly hot stuff for all players, true, but bashing them for fixing problems is a bit absurd, don't you think?

Yeah, uh, isn't that true of EVERY bug?  If things are working as intended, then there's nothing to fix.

No, a bloody modder came up with a hacky workaround that avoids the problem but doesn't actually fix it.
